Synergy Pleasure System Review

Synergy Pleasure System

When you first pull this item out of the box, you’ll probably think that Synergy Pleasure System looks just like an electric toothbrush. But don’t be fooled - the power of this unit is definitely meant to make you curl your toes with pleasure. But is that enough to overcome some of its drawbacks? Read on...

Description and Materials

The Synergy Pleasure System is equipped with a powerful motor that enables 6 speeds that can reach up to 12,000 oscillations per minute. You’ll find that you get a really strong concentrated vibe from the Synergy; some women may even want to opt for ‘over the underwear’ use when applying it to their clitoris as the sensations may otherwise be too strong.

The Synergy comes in one color scheme, white and light green. The dimensions of the wand are approximately 9 inches tall by 2 inches wide. The wand is made of a hard plastic with ridges all along it; the attachments are made of a more rubbery plastic material. I found that these pieces weren’t as smooth as I would have like but you can use lubricant to keep them slippery: Sinclair Institute recommends a water-based one but I felt that a silicone version yields better results.

The Synergy Pleasure System has 5 interchangeable attachments with 7 heads (they say that because 2 of the heads have different surfaces). The attachments are as follows:

Beaded Ball is ball shaped with small round nodes on it. You can use it to hone in on erogenous zones; as you press this piece gently against your body the pinpoint of the vibration comes out the nodes and as you press more firmly, you’ll feel a wider area being stimulated.

Cup and Ridges has one side that’s shaped like a bowl and the underside of the bowl has ridges on it. This one feels the best against the nipples but you can use it against your clitoris or a penis. I liked the sensation of the cup over my erogenous zones but I couldn’t really tell that opposite side had defined ridges.

Rabbit Flutter is said to have fluttering ‘ears’. The picture gives you the impression that they’re soft but in reality it’s a hard plastic that does not flap as much as you think it would.

G-spot has a mildly curved head that is made specifically to pleasure the g-spot. I found I had the most fun with it and definitely plunged myself with this one.

Dual Navigator is the other multi-use attachment: it has a smaller thicker bowl on one side and a rounded pointer on the other. This was my 2nd favorite attachment.

How it Works / Pleasure

Synergy Pleasure System

You can change the attachments in order to achieve different sensations on your body and adjust the intensity to your comfort level. You’ll use the Synergy to stimulate all of your hot zones such as the g-spot, perineum and breasts.

The control panel is located at the base of the wand and features 3 buttons, plus the hole for the adaptor. The two pie-shaped buttons increase and decrease the strength of the vibration and the small button in the middle shuts off the unit without needing to descend through the settings.

You can get 1 to 1.5 hours of use out of the Synergy and will need to give it 4 to 5 hours to fully recharge after its initial use. You can twist the attachments on and off and the tip of the wand marks the ‘open’ and ‘closed’ positions. I found that you had to use a firm grip when changing these attachments.

Packaging/Storage

I thought that the Synergy Pleasure System was packaged fairly well. It came in a 12” by 5.5” box that has flaps for easy open and close. The inside has a velvety soft plastic mold that snugly fits the wand and each of its attachments in their place. The box had a lot of description and illustration on it. It even came with a 7 page instruction manual that included care, preparation for use, hints & tips - as well as an intro to the Sinclair Institute. The inside of the box is clearly marked that the unit needed to be charged for at least 8 hours before use. I would have like it to come at least partially charged so I could at least have had a teaser!

The product did include a velvet bag for storage; it’s just big enough for the 5 heads, wand and charger. However, if you don’t mind using the box, it’s a tidy way to store and display each piece of the system.

Audibility

Unfortunately, this is quite a loud vibrator. To add insult to injury, the batteries rattle inside the compartment! I would have tried to put a piece of paper inside of it to muffle the noise but I didn’t want to interfere with the metal wires running along two of the sides.

Cleaning

Sinclair Institute recommends that you wipe the massager with a damp clean cloth moistened with mild soap and warm water. Alternatively, you can use an adult toy cleaner. The attachments were easy to wash because you can toss them all into a sink full of mild soapy warm water and wash them.

Critique

A very positive feature of the Synergy Pleasure System is that it can be recharged or take batteries. This is the first toy that has ever given me both options; huge points! It also scored big in the power department.

In contrast, I did have a few issues with the ergonomics and construction...

The wand felt rather heavy with the two ‘C’ batteries inside of it; moreover, changing the settings was really awkward because the switches were on the bottom of the wand. I would mix up increasing and decreasing intensity and found that I kept turning it completely off with the round little button in the middle because I was using it as a gauge for which of the buttons was which.

The vibration of this unit made my hand feel numb so that I had to periodically change my grip.

I was totally unhappy with the construction of this toy. The base of unit, the part that you use to access the batteries, cracked within few uses of the toy because I twisted it too far closed. Believe you me when I say that I am not that strong in my arms! Although it didn’t really impact the actual use of the toy, it weakened my impression of it.

The other fault that I found was with the body of the unit. The instructions recommend that you take out the rechargeable batteries that come with the unit if you’re going leave it inactive for two weeks or more. Well, I opened up the unit to slide out the batteries and they didn’t come out. I gently shook the unit to get them out and noticed that the 2 x 1/8” metal wires that ran down along the entire body of the wand came loose and blocked the batteries. The wires wind in a loop outside and around the body and back in to connect back with themselves; unfortunately, they couldn’t stay connected because they weren’t welded properly. I foresee this being an issue for many users because of the number of times you open the battery compartment. When I placed the batteries back into the body to try to use it again, the unit wouldn’t turn on! I tried fully charging it again to see if it made a difference but it didn’t help; neither did two brand new “C” batteries. I think that the loose wires did my toy in.

Synergy Pleasure System

Long Term Appeal

Because of the issues with its quality of construction, this item doesn’t have long term appeal for me.

Value

Unfortunately, I don’t feel that the Synergy Pleasure System is all that it’s cracked up to be. Despite good endorsements and descriptive information, its price in the range of $100 USD is way too high for the quality it offers.

Final Thoughts

It’s a shame because despite the Synergy’s power, packaging and promotion, it falls so short in terms of cost and problems of construction. Overall I rate it only 4.5/10.
