I just got over having a yeast infection (feb. 4th and its the 6th) and I am supposed to start my period today, and on top of that I also have a sinus infection. Will all of these prolong my period, or should I get it as normal? i am on birth control pills, but my boyfriend and I did have sex yesturday and he came inside of me without a condom. is this another tributing factor to having a messed up period? Please help!!

yeast infection/menstrual cycle

If you had a yeast infection and treated it w/diflucan or w/a vag. suppository it should not change your cycle. A sinus infection should not change the "start date" either; however, if you took antibiotics certain ones can change the efficacy of BCP's. Having intercourse yesterday should have no change on the start date either. You have not stated enough information to provide a rational answer. Meaning, are you concerned taking certain meds may change the date? Or just having an infection will change your cycle?
Sorry, I was worried about having a yeast infection changing the menstrual cycle. I dont think that i have had one around the same time before, so I was just curious about how that was. I just started on anti-biotics last night, but i dont think that It could effect it that quickly.
Having a yeast infection will not change your cycle. If you just began antibiotic tx last night, I would not worry about it if you just finished the "active" pills yesterday. I have read info where women on BCP's have a higher potential for yeast infections.
The chemistry of the vagina, and therefore the menstrual cycle, affects yeast infection. The yeast infection will not affect your period. In some women the change in chemistry on the pill does seem to increase their incidence of yeast infection.
The warnings above on antibiotics are very real. Many pregnancies result from taking anti-biotics and thinking you are still protected. Take the pill, and the antibiotic, as directed but use additional protection through you menstrual cycle.
