Yeast infection - Quick Question

So, I got my first yeast infection in december of last year. Fun right? And I successfully got rid of it and everything was fine. But ever since then, I feel like I am constantly on the brink of a yeast infection. Sometimes it feels more intense than other times. But every three weeks or so I will get that similar itching feeling, most of the time, it won't get any worse. It will start, I will feel it, put some monistat on it, and it will be gone. There are the very few occasions when it seems to stay the same for a while.

I am a very clean person, I have very good hygiene. I went to the gyn in...I think march, and I got checked and I asked her to check for yeast or anything like that. Everything came back completely normal.

Could it be the soaps I have been using? Or anything along those lines? Because it is starting to really get annoying.

Any help is appreciated! thanks.

generally soap is not a good thing to be using in that area. especially antibacterial soaps. a mild soap like neutrogena or dove is ok but not mandatory...

I don't purposely soap that area but I have to use a little bit so that I can shave. And I always make sure to rinse thoroughly afterwards.

Women on BCP are at higher risks for yeast infections. Ivory soap only, no douching, and talk to the doc about it when you see him/her again.
