My wife and I have been togeather 14years - she has always been on the Pill (even had 2 kids while on the pill), but that another story!! She has been on the pill for 15 years since she was 17....
Her sexual desire has always been mid range, she says 5 out of 10. Im 33 , and have no desire for more kids and am considering a vasectomy - primarily to get my wife off the pill in the hope that it will increase her desire. (I must say we have a good sex life anyway - but i have a high drive 20 out or ten....
We have decide to use condoms and she has gone off the pill as a trial - to see if she gets a higher desire back - as we both read that the pill and reduce desire in women, amongst a million other bad side effects....
What are some womens thoughts? Noticed differences on/off the pill?
How long does she need to be off the pill to have things level out and see if a higher drive kicks in?

I'm on the pill and have been for probably about a year now and my sex drive is at a definate 10. Maybe even higher at times, off the scale. lol. Sometimes I wonder if my sex drive is higher than my boyfriend's!

I think its really great if you are considering having a vasectomy. I couldn't be on the pill due to the fact that I smoke and have high blood pressure. We used condoms for almost five years before he got insurance to cover the operation. Best thing we ever did. My sex drive went up greatly once we had the green light that his vasectomy took.
Yes it was painful for him for a short time but he would be the first one to tell any guy it is well worth it. And your wife being on the pill so many years isn't a good thing for her even with the lower sex drive.

My sex drive wasn't a 10 before I started on the pill but its definetly not a 10 now... Im probably like your wife being around a 6.
Kinda ironic how that whole pill/desire thing works out.
Even tho the pill would start to lose its effectiveness immediately when stopped taking it I would think it might take 2-4 months for her to be completely back to her old self maybe even 6... maybe even a year. Im not sure.
Just be extra careful while just using a condom...
there's really nothing to worry about getting snipped. it is fast & easy, only a little pain afterwards. best part is the effects are not immediate, so you have to get tested for a couple of weeks afterwards to make sure that there is no semen in your cum. the best way to clean out your system? you have to have lots of sex (still with some birth control)) or jerk off A LOT
Once you are cleared, the fun can begin. if you are in a monogomous relationship and don't have to worry about std's, there is nothing better!
