Ok This is pretty random. So I've been dating this really great guy for a couple of weeks but I've yet to see his penis. I'm American and he's Irish and I've never seen an uncircumcised penis. I know alot of Europeans aren't cut, so I've tried to do some research to figure out if someone his age (32) would have normally been circumcised at birth in Ireland, but haven't come up with any conclusive results. Does anyone know what I should expect? I'm thinking I'll find out soon enough but i want to be prepared.
Also, will I definitely know right away if he's cut or not?
And I've heard the sex isn't nearly as good.... any input on that would be appreciated to.

From a fellow irishman my guess is he is not circumcised especially at his age of 32 unless it was later in life. Im betting on uncut...
JR
More than likely, he's not cut and yes you will be able to tell right away if he is or isn't. The foreskin covers the head of the penis at least part of the way if he isn't cut.
And I've only ever been with someone who is uncut so I can't tell you if the sex is better or not. I will say I've greatly enjoyed him.
I will also say that I've read articles and whatnot from women who say that being with someone who is uncut is more pleasurable to them. But then I've also read a few where they said it wasn't pleasurable for them at all. So I guess it's to each their own really. I have however read more of the former than the latter.
It all depends. Some Catholic traditions do circumcise males (i.e. Italian Catholics), other regions don't, and I wouldn't know if Irish Catholics do or not. And we don't know if he's Irish Catholic or Irish Protestant, or none of those. And remember there are always exceptions to the rules.
The way I see it, the best way to find out is first hand.

They say a picture is worth 10,000 words, so here is a link to some photographs that show foreskins and how they retract. (Depending upon your internet connection speed, it may or may not take a while for pictures to begin moving.)
With the foreskin retracted, the penis closely resembles that of a circumcised model. The major differences would be the folded foreskin behind the Corona rim and the lack of a slightly raw look of the top of the shaft.
> I've heard the sex isn't nearly as good.... any input on that would be appreciated to.
Any good for who? Him? YOU? This is just so much hooey.
The vagina doesn't know if the penis within is circumcised or not, if the foreskin is retracted or not. What women say matters most is the sense of fullness, therefore style doesn't much matter.
Is sex (nearly) as good, or not for the guy? Well, personal accounts and physiology indicate that men who are intact are able to experience much more intense sensations because the nerves in the Glans have not been desensitized by being exposed to the elements; moreover, there is spice in variety in that the sensations are different depending upon whether the foreskin is retracted and the glans is stimulated directly or if it is foreward and stimulation is indirect through the insulation provided by the covering. (NOTE: that not every man is able to tolerate direct stimulation, or if he can, he has to work up to it, so be prepared to expect that he might well not be able to, at least in the beginning.)
I am guessing uncircumcised, but does it really matter? I agree with dancingdoc2.
I've heard that the uncut penis is more sensitive, but that the sex for the woman is not as pleasurable because the foreskin reduces the friction between the penis and vagina... that its like the penis is having sex with the foreskin (for lack of a better way of putting it). it makes sense to me....
yea to me too but I suppose it depends. some of the animations on that site showed that the foreskin auto retracted from the head when the penis erected so he has the best of both worlds

Depends ... I've read that the foreskin helps preserve the woman's lubrication because, during sex, it stays in a fairly fixed position while the internal parts of the penis pump in and out of her.
question.
do all un-circumsized penis' foreskin go past the head?
if so, is that developed over time?

Nope. All of them are different. With the guy I've been with, the foreskin would basically just reach the end of his penis when he was flaccid. You could always see the tip just sticking out. The foreskin never actually wrapped around to cover and go past the head. His foreskin also retracted when he was erect and never had to pull back on the skin when he put on a condom.
I have however seen pictures where the foreskin covers the head when flaccid and I've seen it where it covers the head when they're erect.
It all just depends on the person... or well penis. It's kind of like shape and direction. The penis comes in all shapes and sizes and bends in all different directions. No two people are alike.
And as much as I didn't want to plug my stuff on this board, I do have some pics on one of my sites:

Just enter and go to the pics page. You don't have to join to see them. I will warn you that obviously that site is of the adult nature. It's not porn however, just adult themed. You must enter at your own risk.
Well, let me jump back in here with some logic. Those of you who are agreeing that "the sex for the woman is not as pleasurable because the foreskin reduces the friction between the penis and vagina... that its like the penis is having sex with the foreskin (for lack of a better way of putting it). it makes sense to me...." should substitute the word "condom" for foreskin as a better way of putting it and try this, again.
We're only talking about an inch or so out of how ever long the penis is overall. How's that going to dramatically reduce the friction between the penis and vagina? Remember, also, that most of the vagina's sensitivity is right at the entrance, just inside and out. Read the part about being enamored by the sense of fullness that happens when the vagina is "stuffed". Me thinks this point was overlooked by some.
> I've read that the foreskin helps preserve the woman's lubrication because, during sex, it stays in a fairly fixed position while the internal parts of the penis pump in and out of her.
Moose_, I'm trying to understand what you mean. Can you clarify this for me? I do not understand the connection between preserving lubrication and possibly not via the stroking action.
Some foreskins move back and forth over the Glans during each stroke; others do not, either remaining forward, or locked in the retracted position. "Internal parts?" Only the foreskin moves and it is just one part. Here, again, I think an analogy must be made between the foreskin and a condom.
> do all un-circumsized penis' foreskin go past the head?

OOPS. I'm editing this after having read thetease's post, above. I misinterpreted the question believing incorrectly that he wanted to know about retraction rather than how far in front of the penis it might or might not extend. Well, I did answer this, also.
The answer is a qualified "yes", Champ. During infancy and the toddler years the foreskin adheres to the Glans. As the child grows older, the foreskin begins to free itself little by very little over the years. It can be pulled back just a little; although having said that, it is generally recommended and agreed that it should not be forced back by one or the other parent, and to let this process happen naturally throughout childhood. Now, during the teen years, boys will frequently explore their penis and see what happens when they fiddle with their foreskin. Some boys never seem to be curious and just leave well enough alone.
Usually by the mid teens the foreskin has freed itself of its binding and can be fully retracted. If not, it is generally pretty close to becoming completely free. What happens here is that the boy will often just wait it out for several more months, or, curiosity being what it is, help the process along by working with it and trying to pull it back a smidgen at a time until it breaks loose.
Foreskins come in two basic styles: those that partially cover the glans to one degree or another; and, those that completely cover the glans and extend with a straw-like protuberence out in front of the tip (Meatus). It is with the latter version that boys sometimes discover that the opening is unable to stretch enough to slip painlessly over the Glans. This can be a problem and if it cannot be stretched, then the young man is encouraged to seek medical treatment.
Yes, Champ, the foreskin slips back over the Glans and tucks away behind the Corona Rim by folding back upon itself or with tiny pleats. In the retracted position it is not unlike the circumcised models.

I may or may not be right here, but my understanding is that when an uncircumcised guy has sex, the foreskin stays in a relatively fixed position in relation to the walls of the vagina. It's the part inside the foreskin that does the moving.
In contrast, a circumcised penis constantly rubs up and down against the vagina's walls, which theoretically would displace and push away much of the lubrication.
thank you, that answered my question completely

and this is exactly why sex with a circumcised guy would be better.... because there would be more friction.... you can not really compare foreskin and a condom because by the looks of the pictures foreskin seems considerably thicker.... also while condoms stay firmly on the penis (more or less), foreskin would stay more in line with the vagina .
this is all just my thinking and reading at this point.
by the way, like a lot of you thought my Irishman is not cut and i think by this weekend i'll be able to give a first hand account the sex.
Like I said, it all depends on the person. Friction may work for some, but can be quite painful for others. I need lube when I have sex because it's kinda painful without it. And to basically rub myself raw on the inside because the cut one would basically do that because of the friction, doesn't sound ever so pleasing to me. So perhaps for myself, if I ever did the full on unprotected thing, an uncut guy would be better for me.
I can't however speak for others.
From the way this thread is threading itself, I imagine we are going to have lots of people trying to test theories. While doing so, I urge every woman to consider what has oft times been said, that being that it is not the size or shape or now--the style of the penis, rather how the owner operater uses the equipment he has. It's more about the art than the ingredients. Had I to hazard a guess, it would be that when a couple is in the heat of passion and love is in the air, all ideas of comparisons are going to be distant thoughts.
