Hey everyone. I have been considering getting the Essure procedure done as I definitely do not ever want to have any kids. Well, my Medicaid does not cover it at this time. Will the birth control mandate ensure that my Medicaid covers Essure in the future? I am of the understanding that it will.

Think long and hard in making a decision of this versus tubal ligation. Generally, the doctors who do one do both procedures. You will still need protection for about three months until the scar seals your tubes. Discuss both procedures with your doctor and make an informed decision.
I know nothing about US insurance.
