Hey everyone. My boyfriend and I had intercourse earlier and he penetrated me only in my vagina. He said when he went to clean off, he noticed a dark stain like spot on his penis that wasn't there before we had sex. I know I am clean so what could have caused this?

Why would my boyfriend have a dark spot on his penis after vaginal intercourse?

I'm assuming it was something that it could be wiped of? What color was it? When I read "stainlike", first thing I think of is darker colors and so: a bit of blood.
Were you recently on your period or about to? I've seen small amounts of blood a few days before my period (spotting). And sometimes a little bloodcloth a few days after, which could appear a bit blackish since it's "old". Really nothing to worry about :) And most of the time, you probably won't even notice. So it's merely coincidence it got stuck on him. Nothing to do with being "unclean". During the rest of your cycle: the color of mucus can sometimes be a bit yellowish and be rather sticky. Also: nothing to worry about: it's normal.
I've seen several threads of you considering different types of birthcontrol. Are you on one now? Personally: I sometimes had breakthrough bleeds, while on the pill. Little bleeding just in between bleeds. And I had more bloodcloths than on my "natural" periods. So that could be it, as well. This is also not something to be too worried about. Yet: worth mentioning to your doc when it happens more than once.
Just a few thoughts... if there would be more info on what the stain actually looked like it would make it easier :)

Well, I honestly don't know what it looked like cause he had it wiped off by the time he told me about it. And yes, I am on birth control. I am on the Depo Provera shot while I almost never have periods, I do sometimes have spotting so I am thinking that may have been what caused it.
That is the only reasonable answer. We all have done this at one time or another and our partners may or may not have noticed or told us. It was most likely a small clot you had passed. Depo does this.

Oh okay. I had no idea. I've never noticed any clots before when I urinated or anything so I didn't figure I actually produced any clots. I suppose that was the likely cause. :)
