There is no medical reason for avoiding sex during your period. Vaginitis or yeast infections are possible anytime and are not necessarily increased during the menses.

The period is the least likely time of the month tobeecome pregnant. However, if your periods are not perfectly regular, neither is your ovulation. Among teen aged women, irregularity is the norm. It usually takes four years or more from the onset of the menses for your body to rebalance itself. Take your normal contraceptive precautions during your period.

Yea, it's not safe medically for most women and men who don't want to get infections. All that lovely excess body fluid because it can back up in to a womans ut and such, but yea I got pg at the very end of my peroid. IF you do want to have sex while someones riding the red waves make sure you pee and drink plenty of water and juices (acidic if possible)... I never knew why I was getting so many UTI's and Kidney infections.... Until my OBGYN asked if I was having sex while I was on my peroid.... hmmm for 15 minutes of pleasure; was it worth a week of burning while I peed, I think not!!!
It's not safe either way, you should use protection either way. Before, during or after.

Actually.. when you ovulate just depends on the person.. My b/f and I always used the pull out method except just before, during and just after my period.. I ended up getting pregnant on the same day I was supposed to start.. so BE CAREFUL... The last thing you want is a baby when your not ready...

Hmmm, I never heard the first part. Gonna try to do a bit more research on it. I would also say that a guy should wear a condom if he's having sex with a girl who is on her period. I mean, it can never hurt and will be a little less messy for the guy

Warning!!! If you wish to have sex with her after her peroid, I would not have sex with her! It isn't healthy for either of you. She can get a bad vaginal infection/ uti / bladder and kidney infections and yeast and bacterial infections, as well as you can too other then the vaginal infections.
And you can get pregnant when you are on your peroid! Not everyone ovulates at the same time each month, you can have your peroid and ovulate while you are bleeding, which is called late ovualtion or you can ovulate hellva alot earlier. I have a daughter due to having sex at the end of my peroid when I was spotting.

Hormones and all that fun stuff does make us feel horny. I also read somewhere that it's actually healthy for woman to have an orgasm during her period (once again, pretty graphical medical description I won't launch into).
My ex completely refused to touch me while I was on my period. But my bf now has no problem with it. Just put a towel underneath of her and use a condom. And it should be fine. Laso it might help if she just took a shower, or just use baby wipes. So go ahead and try it. Why cut 1 week out of the month of fun for no good reason?

Ok correct me if I'm wrong Demon...but I thought that ovulation for a woman occurres about two weeks before her period and that's the most likely time of getting pregnant? If that isn't the case perhaps the birth control section here under "rhythm" is misinformed. As for the original post-my g/f and I have had sex during her period-and I've also given her oral during that time. It didn't make too much of a mess (didn't do this until the fifth day of it) and the oral didn't taste any different than usual-its not like anythings going to come gushing out (in my experience that is) and I do it to temporarily appease her horny time . i myself have never really wanted to have sex during my period b/c of the mess and well i dont think my b/f would be up for it.

yes its likely she can get pregnant, usually use the same precautions as before.
if you are up for it and your g/f is too well then theres nothing stopping you.

my b/f and i take a different approach. usually ill give him a bj/hj and then he'll help me out my teasing and sucking on my nipples while i use my vibrator to stimulate my clit. i keep a tampon in to avoid the mess.
