I could care less either way. I didn't used to. He accepted me with my bush. I started as a suprise for him. He really likes it that way so I generally try to keep it shaved. But I know that either way, he's going to like it. He's not forcing me to do it or anything, I'm just somewhat doing it as a bonus for him.
There are times that I know I'm not going to be seeing him for awhile so I do let it grow out, but then after I do that for a little while, I just shave it all off again. I now feel that it's "cleaner" and easier to maintain for that time of the month, but really, it all just depends on my mood and whether or not I feel like bothering with it.

most girls start because of curiosity, we wonder why so many guys like it completely shaven. after I started shaving/waxing, I noticed how nice it actually is. hair-free clit stimulation is really awesome. and once the hair started growing back, the stubble would drive me crazy, so you just keep doing it. and as most girls would know, stubble can be really harsh on the clit, and pubic hair is so coarse too. so personally I feel hair-free does enhance sex. unless the girl puts conditioner in her bush everyday making it silky smooth *shrug*

blame it on porn too, just coz they wanted take a clear shot of the clit (the entire female genitalia rather), most guys kinda adopted that preference of a clean shaven pussy, its obviously a visual preference too. and thats what I was referring to when I said girls start shaving because some guys prefer that.

ok well if you ever try to give a girl oral with hair there it would be like licking a persian rug (my opinion) i feel it is more a sexual enhancement for me because its the way i feel about it. each to their own. I also feel that it would just get in the way.

It did the first time I shaved. No problems the better part of a decade later. It feels more comfortable to me, and it's more convenient for my girlfriend. All in all, a win-win situation.

I have also shaved in the past. And yes it certainly does - when it starts to grow back. But if you keep it shaven it won't do that too bad. I now only shave my scrotum, and just trim everywhere else. and stubble doesn't itch on the scrotum any more than the massive amount of hair makes it itch if you don't shave.

As for the girl shaving kind of thing, my friends and i were playing a nice collegiate version of spin-the-bottle involving stripping, and one girl wouldn't take off her panties because she shaved and thought it wasn't normal (despite my trying to tell her it was absolutely normal). Also on that subject, my girlfriend shaves just because she doesn't like having hair anywhere but her head, and told me she's shaved pretty much since it's grown in, not for sexual reasons.

I know at least a dozen women who've gotten a guy's pants off and then left because of hair. They must be more picky than us guys - I've never heard the reverse :P

I hate it when a guy shaves everything down there. I would never want him to do that. I wouldn't mind a trim, but I like the hair. Seems more... manly... to me. The whole no hair things makes it seem like I'd be screwing around with a young boy and that doesn't please me. lol.

But anyways, girls are picky. Some of us are better than others but yes, picky. I'm pretty sure just about any straight guy would take a girl whether she was shaven or not down there. It's kinda like boobs. As long as they're attached, while they have their preferences, they'll take them at just about any size. lol. (And yes, I've had this discussion with him, and eventually he caves in everytime and smiles and nods shy like. lol.)

I shave for my own comfort; that my last few girlfriends have liked it just makes it twice as appealing.

My wife shaves because she knows I prefer it that way. I would like it totally bare, but she prefers some hair on the labia and a small patch above the labia (a small landing strip). I like giving oral sex with less hair and love the smoothness of it shaved. My wife is close to 50 and has only been doing this after she turned 40. So I know how it was doing oral with a full bush and now with it shaved and trimmed and like the latter better. But I would still give her oral with a full bush but will enjoy the lack of hair as long as I can. She has not shaved her area for a few weeks now and I am hoping she will attend to this soon or even if she will let me shave her. By the way, I feel that if she is going to shave then I should be willing to do the same. I love being bare myself and prefer to keep it that way. Lately I have been recieving much more oral and think it is a combination of reasons, not just because I am bare. But it sure hasn't hurt her desire to go down on me.

Interesting insights. In the course of my work, I see several women's bottoms each week. I doubt that one in ten has done anything more than a light trim; most are untouched by blade or potion. This is true among younger and older women, so in my view, the basic premise of "women have to shave" is invalid.

Perhaps within certain social circles it is more common than those seen by an NHS physician in Scotland.

No comment on men. Brawny male Scotsmen do not want to see a woman physician. Or, perhaps, "show" a woman physician. None of my partners on three continents over the years has been shaven.

I'm new here and haven't taken time to read all the post in this theme, but here's my 2 cents worth.
My wife waxes her crotch to include anus. She loved, and so do I. I would say if you like differently then couples should accomodate each other.

I agree that women do not have to shave. It is interesting that Brandye hasn't seen an appreciable difference in age. If my wife were to let it grow out, I wouldn't stop giving oral because I just enjoy it too much. I do think she would at least trim it which is the next best thing. I'm just glad she is willing to do this for now and will enjoy her either way. I would like to try her completely smooth, but she is uncomfortable with it that way due to itching, so I will not complain or worry about that. That is just an acceptable compromise for both of us.

I like the look of unshaved or lightly trimmed better, but well trimmed or comletely shaved is a lot easier to use my mouth on...! ;)

My guy has said the same -- & after hating the itching from shaving, I spent the $20 on a ladies' electric shaver which does a wonderful job & NO ITCH :D

I've tried shaving... didn't like it... No matter what I did or how often I shaved, I still had stubble. It was really annoying... It got on my nerves... and I have sensitive skin too, so that probably didn't help much. Besides, I think it looks better with at least something there... So I'll just stick to trimming.
