Hello everyone!
I am fresh to this message board and in desperate need of advice/help. I am 17 years old and recently lost my virginity in March. Saturday night/Sunday morning (July 26th) I had sex with my boyfriend and during intercourse he pulled out before orgasming and I knew something had gone astray. I asked him what was wrong and I saw that the condom had broke. He told me not to worry about becoming pregnant because there was no ejaculate in the condom. I refused to engage in any other sexual activity afterward because I was to afraid to. All I could keep thinking about was pre-ejaculate and I am curious as to how much of it contains sperm.
Anyway, I took a pregnancy test today to calm myself down a bit. The problem is - is that I'm not expecting to get my period until the end of this week into early next week. So, the verdict of the test isn't anywhere near accurate until I have missed my period. I'm just wondering, is there anyway I can know sooner than that? I am going to the OBGYN on Friday, is there anyway she can help me?
Thanks for any help offered!

Are you putting the condom on correctly? It shouldn't be tight to the tip of your penis. You should leave a little room (approx. 1/4 inch) in addition to the reservoir tip.
Came back to add... You should also use a spermicidal gel or foam in addition to the condom (not a condom with it already applied) which should give you added protection if there is a leak.
I've wondering how good condoms are?? When I have sex with my g/f, whilst wearing a condom I could swear I still feel cum coming through the side of the condom up my penis whilst coming!! The condom seems to fit well so I don't know what the hell the problem is??

that happens
that is why you need to withdraw right after cumming and hold tight to the bottom of the condom.
otherwise, sperm can come out the bottom end.
LOL :P
its like de ja vu!
YOu might also want to concider morning after pill. YOu got about 72 hours window for taking that.

LittleFury,
Did your bacon distract you?
I suggested that... and she said she was planning on it.

Thank you so much for your advice and because I didn't use any spermicidal liquid or foam I do plan on taking the 72 hour pill ASAP. Better safe than sorry.
Thanks again.
Hi Within_desire and welcome,
Well, you are correct. The pre-ejaculate does contain sperm. So you could become pregnant. I would think the chance would be much smaller, but it is still there. You also have a 72 hour window in which to take the "Morning After" pill... it's a high dosage of birth control which helps prevent pregnancy. So if you are really concerned you might want to get to your gyno much sooner.
Were you using any kind of spermicide? A gel or foam? If not, you should add that to your sex preparations. Don't rely on condoms with spermicide on them... get a spermicidal gel or foam.
Good Luck.
