K, here's a list of what I HATE about porn movies (tongue firmly in cheek, pardon any puns!):
Firstly, why do the guys always have to bang their wangs on the ladies' butt or pubic area? What the heck is that about? Personally, I find that ho-hum. Really, enquiring minds wanna know. Just wondering if there is a reason for that? Do guys get some kick out of it, or is it some "porn trick" (ie, to keep it hard)?
Seeing a condom. Ok, yeah, I understand about STD's and all that, but really, this is a porn movie! There is something very distracting about that. Wear a discreet one that I can't see clearly at least. Seeing a condom says, "I think this girl is a skank and I don't wanna catch anything off her," and that is a turn off.
And....spitting on your partner's privates before oral. Again, is the "job" that distasteful that you can't get a bit of saliva happening? You're not shining his shoes, for heaven's sake! That is so unbecoming.....can I say a bit impolite and cold....to spit on your partner's wang before the appetizer.
Yes, delving right into a pounding round of fingering without some slow moves first makes me abruptly (and disappointingly) remember that, no, I did not come upon a free sex peep opp but instead am watching, yes, a porn movie. :( Seriously, in real life, women generally like a few warm up exercises first. That the male porn star seems to forget this makes me feel a bit forgotten, and think that most of these movies are indeed meant for men, who might care little about the build up. You're supposed to be making a lady feel good, not using your fingers to imitate a cake mixer on high speed! Again, mucho disappointment.
And the lack of hair. Am I the only one that finds a bit of hair attractive? I mean, no pubic hair to be found! No chest hair, no anything hair! What is that? I LIKE hair! I find it exotic and rough. Niiiice. But apparently a no-no in porn movies.
Ok, no, you don't expect great acting in any of these movies. However, once in a while, a few more believable stories to start with would be nice, again in honour of any women watching. Pulease at least PRETEND you like what you're doing, if nothing else. >:(
And last, is it an unwritten law that no one is allowed to actually cum? I have never seen anyone ever really ejaculate or have a real orgasm. Why not? That leaves it too business-like for me, like the people are saying, "Ok, time's up, CUT!" I mean, isn't cumming, the REASON for having sex? Correct me if I'm wrong. And disappointed. :(
Ahhhh, maybe I'm in the wrong business. :p

It's no secret that almost all porn movies are made for the male consumer. Even some of the so-called female friendly porn is made for boyfriends/husbands to show their significant other and not the other way around. So why would they be warming the woman up with foreplay? A lot of porn consumers are just going to fast forward through that, and more time on the camera means more money going into production value. When you say "anyone" not ejaculating, you're talking about women right? You need to keep in mind that this is the consumer's fantasy, not necessarily the actress's. Most female porn stars don't actually enjoy having sex with often less than attractive co-stars. And unfortunately, there are a lot of women in the business that abhor what they do, but they need the money. It's a job, nothing more, nothing less. Some of the women only intend to do it once, perhaps to pay off rent, so they don't at least pretend to enjoy it because they're not worried about booking another job. There is a lot of porn you can find with a woman fake moaning like a banshee, but I assure you it will not be much better...There are some good ones, but they are hard to find. Try this. 1) It's just fun to use a dick to poke and slap these parts, it's a guy thing ;)
2) The biggest studios (Private, Vivid, Hustler, etc) don't use condoms. Wicked Pictures is the only big studio to still use them to my knowledge.
3) Spitting on the genitals makes the whole act seem more rough. I find it arousing.
4) Porn sex is made to be fun to watch more than fun to do, so foreplay is left out.
And the lack of hair. Am I the only one that finds a bit of hair attractive? I mean, no pubic hair to be found! No chest hair, no anything hair! What is that? I LIKE hair! I find it exotic and rough. Niiiice. But apparently a no-no in porn movies.
5) Guess the lack of hair on guys is an aesthetic thing, never actually thought about it.
6) Try Operation: Desert stormy by Wicked pictures. It has nice acting and effects. So do other movies by Wicked Pictures.
7) There's usually a cumshot in the end of the scene, so the guy cums.
The girls seem to cum most of the time but I can only know for sure if they are squirters.
I think you should see more porn.
Have fun :D
Apart from me not being able to give any good comments on porn :p I do would like to comment on this quote of MrsGSpot:
Seeing a condom. Ok, yeah, I understand about STD's and all that, but really, this is a porn movie! There is something very distracting about that. The fact you don't want to see a condom seems a clear comment. And if that spoils any fantasy to you: you're most welcome to point this out. The thing I find problematic is the meaning you give to those wearing a condom... :(
Using condoms equals being skanks?! Gosh, I thought people were over the fact that using condoms would make you seem slutty... I thought we are trying to teach (young) people they can buy condoms in a store without feeling ashamed.
Condoms are most respectable protection against both pregnancy and STD! You can even use them in a (longterm) relationship. Nothing disgusting about condoms! Using condoms does NOT make you a slut! It makes you a more responsible person than those who don't, towards yourself and your partner (or in this case: colleague or employee ;)).
Off course I can imagine how you wouldn't (want) to think about this while watching. And I can imagine you don't like seeing them in porn. But I would kindly request if you'd think about the way you comment on a respectable form of protection.
Just to step out of it for a sec:
These pornstars are normal people like you and me. Their reasons to do this kind of job may be because they like it, but also because of other reasons (as Ravishing mentioned). They have relationships outside their work. They may be good mothers and fathers. Accept when famous, your always-helpful-and-so-kind neighbor could be doing this. They deserve just as much respect and protection in their work as anyone else!
Companies are supposed to protect their employees. HIV-infection can only be tested after 6 months, so there's no guarantee in testing... One mistake turns into a little plague when these people have unprotected sex. An infection that could haunt them for the rest of their lives(!) Why put these people at risk for shear pleasure? I was fairly happy to hear about a company who applied such an easy measure! Easy for me to say perhaps, as I don't like porn, so I probably only 'see' these actors instead of a fantasy... None the less; they are people in the 'real' world that provide you with a fantasy (and could suffer 'real' consequences from it!). You should be thanking them and respect them :)
Now, do please continue your discussion on what makes a porn good or bad! Allthough a fascinating topic, I can't contribute to that, so I'll shut up now :)

You have highlighted some things which make mainstream porn unwatchable for me also, and I'm a man.
wang banging on butt or pubis - it doesn't bother me, but yeah, there is a lot of that. Maybe it does help porn guys stay hard. Ever notice how if they are outside of the woman's orifice for more than a second they are usually stroking their willies?
seeing a condom - actually I have never seen a condom in a porn movie. Maybe I haven'e watched enough, but most of your other points frustrate me so much that I can't watch.
Spitting on your partners privates!!!!!!!!! Really! I saw that recently. I think if someone spat on my penis it would be time for her to go home. I like some S&M play every now and then, but my tastes run toward penis worship, not penis defilement.
pounding round of fingering - I'm a guy, but some of this porn fingering looks really unpleasant to receive.
Lack of pubic hair - I don't get it. Maybe the men go pubeless to make their penes look longer. Pubeless women I have no idea. Promoting pedophilia maybe? I find a pubeless female pudendum sort of disgusting, especailly when there's a closeup and I can see the stubble and ingrown hairs.
Cumming on cam - Hmmm. Actually this is my main complaint, this and no pubes. The men do cum, but they never cum inside their partners. The cum shots that I have seen always involve the man pulling out and masturbating for the last 60 seconds of the scene; masturbating over the woman's buttocks, back, face, breasts... That's what I don't get. Why would you stop thrusting or getting a BJ to whack off?
Using condoms equals being skanks?!
Whoa, I didn't mean that I think that means a lady is a skank, but that in a movie where it's supposed to be a fantasy, when a guy wears one, it seems to me that he's afraid he will catch something. I assume they get tested on a regular basis? I know I would, if it were me, and I would insist on it for the actor, also. And when he pulls out, if you see a saggy or improperly fitted condom? Not appealing.

That's what I don't get. Why would you stop thrusting or getting a BJ to whack off?
Exactly! Although given that the porn movie is "fake sex", I don't suppose too many women appreciate a mere acqauintance ejaculating inside her. But can they at least pretend they did?
Against my promise, I do feel I could reply on the matter, at risk of being called a romantic idiot off course ;)
Maybe I haven'e watched enough, but most of your other points frustrate me so much that I can't watch.
Nice to hear that there are more people who don't like certain aspects of pornography (which the topic is all about after all :)). Porn I've tried to watch equals very unnatural and aggressive sex, which does not turn me on at all... I'd like 'real' sex to be an addition to what I'd see in any other romantic movie. And when I watch it, I want to be sucked into that fantasy, like I do when watching a non-porn-movie. I'd like to watch a film with real sex, without thinking: OUCH, that can't be pleasant! Why isn't he warming her up? She's definitely not enjoying... Why is she making unnecessary comments and screaming like that? Seems more like he's hurting her rather then pleasing her... He's being way to aggressive: is he trying to destroy her vagina or something? Don't just smack it in there without preparing! Why is he calling her a bitch all the time? That bj is choking her! Doesn't he have any respect for her body at all!? I don't see the guy, I just see his penis; can I see a face please? Can I please see the pleasure in his and her eyes? Etc...
Don't mind condoms (though I hate using them), don't mind spitting (but only when it's about combining oral with handwork or some other practical thing), don't mind pubic hair there or not (shaven myself, but don't find pubs unattractive), wouldn't even mind him coming on her, though I would prefer inside her (practically; I don't mind him coming on me. so I don't find it that weird...).
Please show me people that do not treat each other like they just came rolling down from the stone-age,
but who honor each others bodies with shear pleasure!
Well, actors who pretend to be and make me believe it, as that's what acting is about...perhaps it even makes their job a better one ;)
If they'd make a sex-movie like that, I'd be happy to give porn another try :) I think chances are tiny, though...
I do NOT watch pornography because it is BORING.
Why watch sex when I can actually enjoy sex? And by sex I mean SEX where he's forgotten his own name and I'm dancing on the bed for the sheer joy of it.
Compared to that, pornography is as dull as ditch-water.
BTW and unlike RedRoses there who is very romantic, I'm not at all romantic - just one sexual powerhouse who really, Really, REALLY enjoys men.
Why watch sex when I can actually enjoy sex?
For me, it's because I might learn something new....as in "Hmmm, I never thought of doing it quite that way!" ;) I think you can always learn something new, I don't want to rely just on my own imagination or the SO's. A new perspective is always welcomed!
What friends are for, Mrs GSpot.

I swear...you have got to be like the "ultimate" woman to have in bed. You're posts just turn me on. LOL! :D
As far as the porn...eh...I had to read a few dissertations on the ethics of pornography for school a few months back. Some pornography tends to be derrogatory towards women and some of the extreme porn may even suggest violence towards women. I do not appreciate this type of porn.
Spitting on your partner, even if its the genitals, is pretty disgraceful in my opinion.
For me, it's because I might learn something new....as in "Hmmm, I never thought of doing it quite that way!" ;) I think you can always learn something new, I don't want to rely just on my own imagination or the SO's. A new perspective is always welcomed!
I have never learned anything watching a pornographic movie, never been inspired, never been surprised-other than how surprisingly disappointing it was.
I too would have to say that my real life sex in much more interesting than anything I have ever seen in a porn movie. Now where I have learned things is from my partners. I was paying attention.
TY, DD. But, being honest, I tend to scare more men than I attract.
the names....come on, where do they come up with them?
all you need is the name of the street you grew up on and your first pet's name...
mine would be "Olive Tippy"
what about you?
Spitting on your partner, even if its the genitals, is pretty disgraceful in my opinion.
I agree, I just find that akin to spitting in someone's face.
Don't knock porn, people, there is always something to learn, or at least another version of your tastes (although admittedly too many are same old, same old). I liken it to reading a book or taking a class, we can all learn new things. It doesn't hurt to be "educated". ;) I would hate to have to depend solely on my SO's imagination, and besides, his tastes may not always run along my own.
Maybe the people that make these movies need to listen up. Make a few movies that are geared to women? There might be a small but loyal group of ladies that would enjoy those.
Aledgedly they do make pornography for women.
And, sweety, when you have as many opportunities and friends as some of us have - trust us - we are always learning new things.
EEK, no offence meant to you. :)
Only to say that I personally do not care to have a large number of experiences with varied sexual partners. Not that I have a problem with those who do, if that is what someone prefers, it's just not something that interests me. We cannot all expect to have a lot of "friends" in order to learn from. ;) So we rely on other forms of education.
Again, I am a bit old-fashioned, I guess. I limit my "private showings" (pardon the pun!) to a select few. :D
Well, there's "old fashioned" and then there's REALLY old fashioned. Which century are we talking about? CE or BCE?
There actually was a time and a 'class' where if you DIDN'T have a lover you were hopelessly out of fashion.
Uhmmm, for a little 'education' or 'inspiration' I usually watch the more informative sex-programs, like 21th century sex guide for girls. Or visit websites like these. I wouldn't think I'd learn anything about pornography, accept for that it turns sex into something plastic... As even the people I've heard from who like porn, many times state that it's a cool fantasy to watch, but really not nice to do...
There actually was a time and a 'class' where if you DIDN'T have a lover you were hopelessly out of fashion.
That's cool, but I prefer one person in a relationship at a time. I would be hurt if someone didn't think I was "enough" for them, and I certainly expect my partner to do the same. I agree that monogamy is probably not too "in" anymore, but there are a few old codgers like me that still hang onto that.
TY, DD. But, being honest, I tend to scare more men than I attract.
Haha...those that are scared have no balls. I like aggressive women. You can tie me up anyday babe. :D
Ty, DD, and yes, being scary is a great way to separate the men from the boys.
