It's a fluid mixture which is either purchased, or prepared at home, which is in a little bottle with a nozzle on the end (best way to describe it). The nozzle is placed in the vaginal canal and is used to "wash/rinse" the internal cavity out. I do not recommend the use of them since they can disturb the normal flora of the vagina. There are times when they are appropriate; however, the shift has been to move away from their use secondary to over-use or misuse of the product. In general, if you are clean, shower, etc. there is little reason to need to use one. Years back, I mean many years ago, they were popular for "feeling fresh".
