Hi
I am a 19 yr old male. I had the greatest experience (considering that I'm a virgin) a couple of days back. It was a wet dream. I have spent about 3 hours now researching on this. I believe my case is very special since I never had wet dreams before (not even during puberty), nor I was trying to have them by holding off masturbation. This just happened out of nowhere, but here is what's been different last week that might be a factor behind it:
1) My computer is in service. So no "arousing imagery" available.
2) I've still been masturbating with same frequency but last time I did it was about 3 days ago (those kinds of gaps have occurred before)
3) The morning it happened was holiday (Tuesday). But, I woke up just automatically at 7 am even though the alarm was turned off, went back to sleep and this happened around 8:30 am.
4) I had lots of work to do until Sunday (So may be because I was so relaxed?)
5) While working, I've been listening to psychedelic trance to stay awake (lot more in that week than I usually do)
I can probably find more things but I don't know if that would help.
I am so fascinated by it that I wish I could be part of a research to discover more about this phenomenon. Not much is known about it.
So.. the question. How can I personally have more of this experience according to my case? More importantly, why would it happen now when it never happened before?

In your search for answers, have you read the information, above?
It is usually thought that Nocturnal Emissions occur after a long period of not having masturbated or having partner sex. It is a way for a person's body to deal with the buildup of sperm and fluids.
Because wet dreams are an automatic response and happen so infrequently throughout the average man's life, I rather doubt there is a way to increase their frequency except perhaps as noted, above. The trouble with abstinence is that it is so darn difficult to impossible to do and we give in to our urges before there is an automatic release.
There is a cute 2002 movie on this that you may want to watch entitled "40 Days and 40 Nights", starring Josh Hartnett. The last time I rented the movie a local Blockbuster did not have it and Hollywood Video did so look around.
Spontaneous emission (we dreams) occur when the amount of ejaculate being stored is more than the body has room for. The male body is always producing sperm and semen. Most of that is reabsorbed into the body and some is stored for the next event. Whe the storage capacity is overwhelmed, it has to be dumped. Someitimes it leaks out and sometimes you have a real ejaculation.
I know about the build up theory. But like I said, last time I emptied my tank was like 3 days earlier. (not an unusually long period of time).
This is why I am confused.
I did try not ejaculating for a week after that but no "outcome". I know there have been cases where men tried to hold off for weeks and months. But I had to try any way.
btw, the movie sounds interesting.
