I've become completely fed up with shaving, so I wanted to ask if anyone has waxed/gets waxed and if you have done it yourself, how? Or...I'd like to see any other alternatives anyone has to offer.

Done by a professional salon...works wonders. Not painful if done well.
If you are talking genitalia I say leave it natural. It's more attractive on an adult to begin with plus it's more comfortable.
Personally I 'Nair' as far as the bikini line and then just trim carefully with scissors farther in. That way there's some there so I don't look like a newborn, but its short enough he's not gagging on hair during oral. And it's painless.

Wax is great...yeah it hurts like a bitch but your bikini line feels great for like 4 weeks.
For the rest of the area you should buy on of those electric trimmer and keep it tammed.
