My boyfriend and I have been going steady for a year now. We are both ready to have sex, but since I'm 17 he wants to wait until I'm an adult. We already do everything else. Should we do this no matter what age I am?

He's 19, but he's in the younger part of his age.
I say it depends whether you are comfortable or not, age really shouldn't be an issue.

The thing is doc, if they've already been dating for a year, and people have seen them...he can still get charged for statutory rape, EVEN if they haven't "actually" had penetrating/vaginal sex.
The rules on Statutory rape are changing much depends on the state you both have permanent domicile in...Parents can no longer press charges...has to be done through law enforcement; too many crimes for some to care about...17 & 18 y/o? Watch YOUR states law... and read the Federal laws...

I can't really blame him for wanting to wait until you have reached an age where he doesn't have to worry about breaking any laws by showing intimacy.
I can also relate to the problems that can arise from situations like these. When I was 20, me and my long-term girlfriend who was 17 (and had been sexually active with), had a messy breakup. I had later found out that she had seriously contemplated pressing statutory rape charges against me, simply because she was so upset over the break-up (which I found ironic considering she was the one broke up with me). Not to mention the fact that two days after our breakup she was already in the sack with a 25 year old, entering into a rebound as well as abusive relationship.
I felt that I had dondged the bullet on that one... not only the potential jail time, but that I would have been labelled a sex offender for the rest of my life.
^^Hahahaha, oedipussy that is NOT cool. WOW...there are always girls like that in the mall...I hate going to the mall, lol. I have such conflicting feelings when I see a girl like that. My pants say "OH YES!", but everything else says "HELL NO!!!" Everything else always wins, but DAMN.
