The same goes for sending pictures by E-mail, telephone, or, posting on the net. Once the information is out there, it is out there forever. Posting contact info invites predators and a host of other undesirable replies.

While I do agree that it is important not to turn away new users, I don't believe we said anything that was at all harsh to Steve. Our comments were to the point and provided useful information regarding his request. He just didn't want to hear it. Granted, I was the user who "incurred his wrath", so to speak, and had I mentioned what this site is rather than what it isn't, he might not have gotten so huffy. None of this matters, however, because his behavior shows that he was just thin-skinned. Maybe he'll come around, but there's no reason to beg for it to happen.
