My girlfriend recently got an abscess on her vagina, one of the glands flared up to the size of a golf ball, I believe it's the gland that produces the wetness.
She had an operation about 2-3 weeks ago, they did a marsupialization on it. She had morphine & the lot. She says it hurts when she gets horny. We havent had sex for about a month as the pain got too much.
When will she stop being in pain just from being horny? It's killing us both not being able to have sex. This weekend she said I can go down on her & finger her, & if its not too bad we can have sex. I just dont want it to hurt her anymore & i want her to stop feeling pain when she's horny.
Does anyone know how long it will take for the pain to go?

A while. The glands of Bartholin are not the source of lubrication. They infrequently develop cysts and that is what your girlfriend is going through. She should be avoiding putting anything, including tampons, in there for a few weeks.
The pain during arousal is a result of the engorgement of the labia - analogous to an erection in men. I amc ertain she has a follow-up exam scheduled. She should talk to the doctor at that appointment.
Yes she does, she's going back in 4 weeks to see the doctor.
Well we're going to try having sex this weekend, it's about 2-3 weeks since the operaration. It was her suggestion that we try, & if it does hurt I have no problem with stopping.
