UTI 3rd time ANNOYING

ok this is the third time I have cystitis. I always get the symptoms about 2 days after sex! I had it in jan (a horrid first experience!), march and now!

I havent even been to the dr yet and know i have it.
I am getting antibiotics from the store in a minute! so it goes away quickly unlike last time!

My boyfriend is well endowed too! I hear that effects it.

So I definatley think the 2 are linked! How can I prevent this I seriously havent had sex that often! And its really putting a negetive spin on it to th point I dont want it purely due to this!

WHY?? is this happening and how can i prevent the annoying reaccurance

Thrusting opens and closes the entrance to the urethra allowing unwanted organism to enter and set up housekeeping. Urine is a very good culture for bacteria to grow.

BUT< the bacteria are coming from somewhere in your pudenda or his urethra. UTIs can be passed back and forth with or without symptoms in either partner. If you were my patient, I would want to culture your urine and his urine, treat both at the same time, as indicated by the cultures, and condoms only until each and both of you have completed the regimen of anti-biotics.

Give your doctor the details of when it shows up. We have heard it all and this one of our most common diagnoses. It is only half cured, though, treating one of you.

You have to follow up with the doctor after you complete the antibiotic to be certain the infection is 100% gone. As to size of your partner, nothing to do with it. Repeated sex with UTI's cause "honeymoon cystitis" especially if you have not seen each other in a while and then have lots of sex. There are times if you keep getting them, the best treatment is a longer course of therapy of antibiotic's at a much lower dose.

UTI prevention:
Void after intercourse, drink cranberry juice (not cranberry drink filled with just sugar), drink 6-8 8 oz. of water daily, complete the antibiotics and get a repeat urinalysis and urine culture, and always wash well with warm, mild soapy water, & dry well too. Don't hold your bladder if you have to urinate!

cheers I shall ask him to see the doctor. I bought these sachet medicine things from the super store yesterday and my syptoms are gone i am drinking more water and not holding it in!

Your symptoms being gone does not mean the bacteria are gone! Too many people equate symptoms with the disease. You still need proper treatment - as may your b/f.

will see dr then fri if i can
thanks again
