Using the word CUNT

How many women like the word cunt?

Aaah, NO! Don't call me that - EVER!

Unless you want to die.

Oh gee, I dunno, how many men like to be called c***sucker?

That is a degrading word to ladies (in my opinion)...........ridiculous
My my well said INT

I call a male friend that name, whenever were play fighting lol. I can take that name as in a joke, but if it was said in spite. I would probably laugh it off.

If it's said in the right context (aggressive dirty talk) I'm fine. Otherwise, not so much..

In what context??

There exists no context in which that word would not royally piss me off. But, to each her own.

Surely we are back in the realm of the individual finding certain things exciting. If 'dirty talk' lights one's candle, crack on with it I say.
In what context??
In the context of aggressive dirty talk, although I should have mentioned only in reference to my vagina itself. I can't remember a time when I've actually been called one during sex, so I have no opinion on it.

I've only seen/heard the word used in reference to a woman progressing past the point of 'b' to a 'c', so I'd recommend against using it.

If someone is joking it doesnt bother me, but any other use will result in objects flying across the room lol.:p

If it is used during dirty talk it might be okay. I like being called "names"
But to call a woman that to be mean or hurtful in a fight. It's on. And not in a good way. :-|

I think that cunt is the worst word that could've ever been created. It's degrading to a woman and I would never, ever even think of calling my fiance' that word whether we were joking around or serious.

yes bee i agree i like to be called names during agressive dirty talk and use the word in reference to my vagina when i talk to my partner that way.My ex husband said he respected me too much to talk dirty to me even though it turns me on.But when we argued he called me all the names under the sun, shows you how much respect he had for me doesn't it.

I actually agree with you 100%. I hate this word, no matter the context it's used in.

Agreed. The twentieth century useage has made the word absolutely horrid because it is always used in a derisive and misogynisitc manner. It is interesting that it was quite an acceptable and common noun at one time. Derived (mostly) from ancient Norse, it has variants in all the Germanic languages and was not uncommonly used in literature of middle English writers such as Chaucer. It nearly disappeared (we should have been so lucky) for a few hundred years but showed up in the 19th century and then was used (with some effect) by D.H. Lawrence, James Joyce, Arthur Miller, and other aspirants to their status, in the early 20th century. From there it seems to have permeated cheap literature and vulgar speech. It remains a more orless acceptable term in Frisian, Norsk and a few other obscure languages but, because most of their speakers also speak English, it has rapidly been tainted with misogyny and fallen into disuse for even the original meaning.

As it became popular again, it took on the misogynist. And, has been attributed to Latin and French with a common example that the shape of the female pubic hair resembles the symbold of cuneiform writing of the Eastern Mediterranean. Beyond its' interest to etymologists, it should be forgotten.

The equivelant used in Dutch is "kut". It is simply popular speech. It is even used in sexeducation; they don't refer to it as the "female sexorgan" or something; that would leave all the teens asleep. And calling it "pussy" makes it way to cute and fluffy to have a proper and open conversation... "pussy" is more like a nickname to it in Dutch, as if you don't dare to call it by it's true name ;) With proper sexeducation you want to take all the guilt and "covering up" away.

"kut" is also a word for swearing, though :( One that is used frequently, calling it out loud whenever something goes wrong. Than again; we use "fuck" as well, to indicate both "having sex" as for swearing. A lot of us really use the English term or the Dutch equivalent "neuken" to describe having sex. And it all comes down to the mechanical activity, without content or added vallue. O well, I understand that historically there was a time when it simply referred to: Fornicate Under the Commend of the King. O yes, off course, your majesty! All in the name of country and king/queen :p

Personally; whenever I'm actually doing it; I like more emotional content and tenderness to the words. "fuck", "neuken", "kut", even "having sex" are all (very) cold words to me that do not pay homage to our bodies, emotions, etc. I prefer the cute "pussy" and tender "making love".

When it is used for swearing, I'm not much offended. I always say: only swear with something that's part of you or that you'd dare to take into your mouth! ;) Though I don't like swearing in general. Whenever such terms are used to indicate the actual activity or bodypart, I have no problem with it. Not at all... My guess is that's the general attitude over here... You can imagine that I was somewhat surprised when I became a member of this forum, to find out that the language that produced those words, actually bans it... Happy to conform to your standards, off course! Apart from the practicle use of it in this thread, I shall refrain from the use of it.

We modern anglophones try to clean everything up! I think the Dutch Reformed Church had a hand in that, as well.

It never surprises me what a bunch of hung up Victorian era prudes we have here. The excess baggage you all carry around is suffocating you.

Ahem, I have a cunt downstairs. It sure a heck isn't a doctorish vagina or vulva much less a little girlish pussy. Hello there cunt, you're amazing and beautiful. Yes, it's a cunt alright.

You are soo right tinyclit. My wife has a cunt and she loves it and I love and I often tell her how much I love her cunt.
It is not a dirty word.

No not if it is used in the right context, such as during a session of delicious oral sex or body worship.

As far as I am concerned, a four letter word is a four letter expletive that should be deleted or simply not used in the first place. Nuf said.

Well Fair, is Fair, Ain't It

Well if they say Cunt to me, I figure I should make darn sure they get a HOT Lunch, just so they enjoy eatting it.

I am always fascinated by language and just came to think of something cute recently:

I've always thought the English did such a great job, calling sex "making love". Beautiful! :) But now I've discovered a nice thing in our language as well. The old-fashioned yet still regularly used term for having sex in Dutch is "vrijen". It is also the word sometimes used for cuddling, although that's really for the older generations. Now you should know that a lot of verbs in Dutch end with "en". In fact there are various nouns that are legally transformed into verbs by simply adding "en". The word "vrij" means "free". As in: "freedom", not "getting without payment" (I know we Dutch are notorious for taking home anything that's for free, but even we won't go this far as to call sex something that's "for free"; ha, ha! ;)).

Anyways; "vrijen" could therefor be roughly translated into "freeing". By looking at it this way; sex is a way of setting you and your partner free; freeing eachother. Isn't that just beautiful!!! And a wonderfully accurate description of what having sex is? :)

I absolutetly hate that word

myself as women i dont think its degrating to women... i often catch myself using it either callin other ppl it when they piss me off .. i dont see what the big huff is about it?..

If you don't see "the big huff about it" then why do you reserve it for those who 'piss you off'?

Do you call guys who 'piss you off' DICKS?

I think using it is definitely a case by case decision. I have used it in reference to a girls vagina during a very raunchy session. I have never called a girl one. I have however called a partner a slut. But again it was a very hot and vocal sex session and she found it absolutely arousing. But she hates the word slut used in just a simple daily reference.

i like many don't use the word and don't really like it. interesting though that it is the English version of the Latin word cunnis which is slang for vulva. We all use the term cunnilingus without offense.

I think its all a matter of context. Like pussy originates from the word puss which meant pouch. Apparantely the word was commonly used as a nickname for a mans wife in the early 1900's. Nowadays it is a slang, "bad" word.

I think pussy is a cute word! It reminds me of playful kitties that like to be pet and start purring with pleasure :)

Taking a person and using language to strip away his/her identity as a person by making them out to only be a body part debases both the one who hears it and the one who says it.

BTW she isn't a slut - she's a magnificent, generous, amazing woman whose sexual response to your touch fills you with wonder and delight. The unleashed inner tigress is out and running free before your awestruck eyes...and all you could do was to call her a slut?!?!?! Jeez! Time to up your game, Ducy!

Lol EEK it was a role play scenario lol. We were on my desk, she was my secretary, and the stream of profanities and sexual terms coming from both our mouths could have made many of these members cower in fear lol.

And I don't believe the situation would have called for me calling her a wonder generous woman who's sexual response to my touch fills me with wonder and delight would have been appropriate lol.

I just wonder about how 9 times out of 10 women select a subordinate role in role-playing AND if this is a result of her having the idea that men must be this and women that. Set gender roles. Its an interesting point.

Personally, I find the use of profanity - even in roleplaying - to be a huge turn-off.

seems like the overwhelimg opinion is to NEVER say it to a woman outside of the bedroom and when in the bedroom only use it in reference to the vulva and vaginal area if you are sure she won't crunch your nuts with her thighs once you utter the word - LOL

Here you are cruising along and she's REALLY into it and then you say something...

WHAT DID YOU SAY???

Now you have World War III on your hands and you are, to say the least, in a very vulnerable position.

Idk if its a "women should be subordinate" ideas. I know a lot of women who are turned on by the thought of a big strong man having their way with them. My fwb enjoys me standing while holding her up, and her sitting on a desk when I'm standing. The first was because she feels so tiny and vulnerable and I'm just "taking her" and the other is due to the "secretary" fantasy. She thinks of being a secretary and her boss having his way with her (not only does she feel vulnerable in this position as well, but the thought of it being her boss makes it a power thing as well)

we live in an age where sexual exploration is getting close to new heights. Words are being used differently, sex is being redefined, and we are all have one grand time doing it! But there is one thing we need to forget. Traditional views of language are against all humanity. Words like "fuck" or "cunt" should NOT be offensive, they should just be vibrating air molecules picked up by the ears! How can vibrating matter be offensive? simple, because we WANT it to be. I say use the word if you want or can, but be careful (I myself havent even said it yet, probably wont for a very long time. I prefer pussy to anything else)

You have got to be kidding! Do you really think that after what 5 million years, we've come up with NEW ways to have sex? New heights?
Riiight.

It is true that what's offensive to one may not be offensive to another - but that still doesn't address the issue of what you think of yourself when you resort to using profane language. Do you or do you not have certain standards of behavior for yourself regardless of what others might do or not do?

Yes, Ducy, lots are but did you never ask why? Natural inclination or training from childhood? She stoops to conquer perhaps? Having caught this powerful alpha male with her beauty etc giving her a sense of power? Think of how much more powerful she'd feel if SHE tackled HIM - on your knees before your mistress! Why not? It puts him almost exactly where he could do her some good now doesn't it? Evil Grin Try it some day - you might get surprised.

not new ways, but new acceptances, now additions. it has been ages since we have been such a sexual society, and it is a great time to be alive! with new toys and all that, i feel we are going beyond ancient societies, but that is my opinion. Our gender roles are blending more and more, and our sex lives in general are more open than past generations. It's like the people who developed the Karma Sutra are alive today!
once again, tis only my opinion.
