this is kinda random but i read in a magasine that u shud try to wear no underwear in bed once a week cuz it airs out ur bits. is this true?
also i read that you shudnt always wear sanitary towels (even thin ones) daily cuz it traps the bacteria near your body wich could lead to infections. is this true aswell? personally i wear pads all the time because i feel fresher than if i was wearing just knickers (i don't like the wet feeling) but i really want to know if this info is true or just something the magasine ppl have made up!
thanks!

I've also heard the same thing and am glad Brandye replied. I always try to just wear a nightie to bed or really baggie night pants with no panties.
I also hate wet panties and will change in the middle of the day if I feel I need it, which is why I am the girl with like 50 pairs of panties.
Just like to feel fresh!
Since the introduction of panty hose 40 years ago, there has been an increase in yeast and other fungal infections. There is some truth to what you are reading and the feminine hygiene product industry wants us to use as many as possible.
I air it out whenever possible. I sleep with a t-shirt only, nothing covering my pudenda (except during my perios) and sometimes do house work wearing just a bra.
Keeping completely covered all the time keeps the conditions for growth of bacteria and fungi ideal. If you are among those of us who have wet spots every day, it is even more important to allow yourself to dry out. In the middle of my cycle (around ovulation) I sometimes change knickers during the day and always have a shilling sized wetspot end of the day.

ok thanks a lot! i was kinda hoping you'd be the one to answer my post first! (lol) i will do as you've recommended -try to sleep without anything but a nighty on at least once a week and as for pads..i will occasionally just wear knickers and take a spare pair with me if i'm going out so i can change them..
thanks for answering so promptly!
