I guess no one has really explained the rules to me, what is the actual age that one can start having sex? can it be at any age as long as both parties consent? or am i just an idiot?

Yeah, thats crazy, and i what i saw that i thiought was even weirder was the fact that in some places (cant remember which at the moment)...it is legel for female-female sex but not male-male, or vise versa, is there any logic behind this at all...or is everyone just being stupid for the sake fo being stupid?
lol the thought of a law which limits the age you can reproduce is hilarious. What kind of punishment do you give a horny 14/yo for getting with the girl next door? And then I noticed in some states the age where you can have gay sex has been completely removed but there’s still an age for straight sex I can just see the conversation in my head:

Wow, has it really been over 4 years since the law changed! whoops! i just remember it was 18 when i was in school because a friend of mine became gay and was worried as he was 16 and his boyfriend was 18 and didnt want any trouble.
Yep. I'm a member of a UK gay board and the age of consent is definitely sixteen.

Im sure most of those facts on that website are correct, but i can definatly say the one for the UK is wrong! it says female female sex age consent is 16, whereas we actually have no age of consent. One of the Queens of england thought the idea of lesbians was so disgusting, she didnt think anyone would want to do it, so from then on there was no law.
as for the boy boy relations, the age of consent was always 18, but i know they have been battling to get it changed to 16, so that bit may be true now.

Welcome to my world.
It always seems to surprise a lot of people (straight, mostly) that gays are still so discriminated against. In 39 states it is still legal to fire someone just for being gay. They can still be denied housing on the basis of sexual orientation. Gay people are still unable to serve openly in the military. Gay men are prohibited from donating blood.

I unfortunately live in a state where it's illegal for same-gender sex whether male or female.
But yea, that's another rant we won't get into today. lol.
Oh the extent of it goes on forever because in some places there can only be so many years between two people in order for it to be legal... unless both are of course over 18 and then it doesn't matter.
But it all just goes on forever. Every little nit picky law here and there.
