Tropic: Sex in under water

Hallo

I would like to hear if anyone knows about “sex in water” – I was wondering if it is safe for the woman. Maybe the water will get inside her vagina during the intercourse?

I’m worried that the water or saltwater could course infections?

Do any know about any scientific research on this issue?

Greetings
Silas

I don't know about any research on the issue, either, but I do know salt water in the vagina is a HUGE no-no (it'll upset the pH balance, which can create a host of problems). There'd be no way to prevent that from happening if you were to have penetrative sex in the water.

Welcome to the Board,

I am all for making out in a pool, hot tub, bathtub, shower, or Jacuzzi; however, I also believe that engaging in intercourse while under water is not a good idea for women. The ecosystem of the vagina is very delicate and fragile. Chlorine will wash away the vaginal mucus if it gets into the vagina and lack of natural lubrication can cause the mucous membrane to chafe. Any germs or bugs in the water can be absorbed by the vaginal lining, also. Depending upon how you "go at it", a thrusting penis can pump water into the vaginal vault and this can be uncomfortable.

Normally, the labia protect the opening of the vagina so just being in the water is fine. Intercourse is not recommended. So, make out all you want then either sit on the side of the pool, tub, or Jacuzzi, or move on to another place.

Now, having just said that let me add that if the water is shallow, like in a bathtub for example, I suppose you could have intercourse using a rear entry (doggy style) position.

having once tried it in the sea i would defintley not advise it. didn't work out well for my girlfreind of the time.

the sea is even worse as it is full of bugs more so than "tap" water. another thing some will tell you is that it will wash away natural lubricants. water is not a good isea for intercourse but great for foreplay

Water washes away the bodys natural lubercant. A silicone based lube is great for waterplay. A good one is called Wet Platinum, I am sure there are other good ones out there. I would be sure to stay in "clean" sources of water though like the shower. And be careful it is a slippery situation.

when you go swimming or take a bath you get water in your vagina, so don't sweat it, just don't do it all the time, especially in salt water or chlorine.
