I say don't ask others to do for you unless you are willing to do it for them.  Personally I find it better when the woman is either trimed or bald for whatever reason your down there.  (looking, touching, etc.)  Personally I trim and pull the hairs out that I want to get rid of, I find it easier than shaving plus it feels better in the end.

shaving is most defidently a good thing for the guys, when girls shave it gives alot more room to be licked,massaged, etc, we dont say its nasty, but we wish you would shave it, if you just trim, keep the hairline high away from your clit so you can be licked, sucked, fingered etc..... :;): plus being completely shaved is usually a turn on for guys, but girls,

At least one person mentioned the problem of itching. The solution to this is simple: just shave with the hair instead of against it in the places where it itches (usually just the pubic mound, maybe the inner thighs), and you will get allmost no itchies. You can't get as clean a shave this way, so shave against the hair in areas that don't give you problems.

You can try suggesting something like shaving each other...

Well I have a friend and she just shaves herself with a razor and shaving cream using a mirror, but she takes a bath first to soften her hair. And I have an another friend and she waxes. I'm not sure about the soap and water, I don't know anyone who does it like that.

As far as if we appreciate it, personally it's a real turn on for me and I'm sure it is for most men too.

it's always best when she is at least trimed, I hated going down on a woman with a vaginal afro. It really made me not want to go down.

Personally, having tried shaving, waxing and depilatory creams, I would go for the wax every time. If you find a really good beauty therapist it doesn't hurt at all. Just be careful to breath in as she puts the wax on and out as she pulls it off again. The result is smoother and it lasts longer.

To keep my boyfriend guessing, I like to vary from a neatly trimmed map of Tasmania, smooth labia with a landing strip or give way triangle (sometimes a bolt of lightning) to absolutely bald.

i've been waxing (as in legs and armpits) since i was about 12 or 13 (i'm 16 now). When i wax my bikini line it lasts for at least a week (but i only started doing that recently). When i wax my armpits it takes at least 2 weeks for the hair to become noticeable again.
A warning to you i have a pretty high pain threshhold, but the bikini wax hurts like a BITCH! its way worth it though, i say.
A lot of people complain that when they wax it hurts and the hair grows back too quickly etc, but thats usually because they have been shaving for years, and their hair has got really thick. With waxing the hair gets finer the longer you wax.

there is other stuff you can use that does a better job than shaving your favorite drugstore has every thing you need one gal i know use's something leaves it nice and smooth once a week she does it feel nice there

i would rather have it trimmed, and not bald like a babies ,like to know its a woman ,am loveing ,feel the hair so long as its washed will not hurt you ,was thinking back when people hardly ever bathed must have been smelly and then the public toilets full of crabs or pubic lice think of it a guy goes down on a girl and has crabs in the eyebrows must have been bad hepititus must been something thank god we live in a clean world and women know how to clean themselves and men too

Just explain to her how it would make it better for her because you can do a better job at pleasing her if she trimmed it because then the hair isn't all in the way and you can see better at what you are doing.

i keep myself trimmed but not shaved because i know it does get irritating. and i've asked my girl to shave hers, she did to the same amount that i do, so i suppose sometimes what you do will most likely be what she will do. also, shaving each other in the shower can be quite a fun experience

This is Guitarman's wife. Shaving is a feels little strange at first., but when the hair starts coming back in it looks nasty so you have to keep shaving. That is how I got into the shaving thing. Also, you don't have to keep the entire area shaved. Try leaving a little landing strip and remember to keep the way down there region neatly shaven at all times. My husband really likes it.

well here is something that i just discovered. i have fully shaved myself down there w/ a razor and besides the fact of it being very time consuming and difficult to do b/c of the angle and such, it is also a pain and itches when it starts to grow back. i recently saw on tv this thing called finishing touch its like a minature electric shaver. its about the size of a pen and its razor is only about an inch wide. its mainly used for trimming beards and sideburns and such. anyways, i had seen one on tv for $15 but recently found one at walgreens for $10 so i thought id try it out, and it does the trick. of course it doesn't get you as smooth as a regular razor but b/c its small its easy to manuver down there and get the hair pretty short. enough so that your partner doesn't get a mouthful of hair. i still shave the hair on my mound w/ a razor but for the hair that is around my lips i use the trimmer and its a lot easier. plus i never liked having such a sharp object in the area anyways

I can't imagine not shaving. I shave completely 'down there.' I don't shave every day but every other day and I really dont see where it is that much more of a hassle.. if I'm shaving my legs, just go all the way up! My man told me he really likes the way I shave and said he enjoys giving me oral.. so at least he likes it as much as I do

..anyway, I use Skintimate shave gel and as soon as I am done, I use their new aftershave that they made for the legs.. works very well the whole way up

All I can really say is bring it up again and let her know that you are interested in that and think that it would make it better. I remember when I first discovere shaving and thought that it was strange. But when I started becoming sexualy active it made more sense. It's cleaner and alot more easy to take care of when shaved. ;)

I first trimmed my curly-wurlies (MALE by the ways) quite recently because I didn't imagine that a face full of fur is that great for my honey when she is doing something sooo lovely for me. It was a bit like getting a new haircut, suddenly I looked at myself quite differently. So I really think it has alot to do with ones own vanity/sense of grooming/sensuality.
Regarding the lady shavers out there: smooth vulva - yummy! My current girlfriend is shaven, leaving that runway clear for take-off with a nicely trimmed landing strip. But as soon as those prickly hairs show themselves again it causes irritation around my mouth. My problem is this: how to suggest better maintenance with regard to the fact that this area is such an area of delicate vanity?
A bit like a normal facial shave, I love to feel smooth and use a nice aftershave, but also because I love kissing girls and I would hate to cause any irritation with an unkept stubble - and I would happpily shave my head (scalp!) if my girlfriend suggested it would improve my cunninglinguistics. But I would be fearful of causing any offence to any girl with regard to the maintenance of their genitalia.  

If she shaves, it's going to get stubbly. That's why I don't. I've plucked it, though (which I'm sure is the same effect as waxing,) and when it grows back it's finer and it takes longer.

I read all the posts in this thread and no one has mentioned how to remove the pubic hairs ON the testes. I have never removed these hairs before and am very uncomfortable with chemicals. I do regularly trim with fine scissors, only this is way too time-expensive. It's not that I am necessarily hairy down there, only that I want to encourage my woman's oral interest in them and I don't believe the pubs are very appealing.

Thanks for the tip, beardtrimmer sounds efficient. Though I have no intention of removing all my pubes, only the vast majority. I'll leave a a bit of a garden above my penis ( -for when she's feeling a bit exotic.). No, my specifc query was regarding those sporadic, tiny, pesky pubes on the testes.

I shaved myself the first time and on the pubic area I have quite strong hair. I really have to say that I do like it more bald but I got some problems:

1. after shaving I still see black pionts (hair under skin)
2. pulling hurts the more I come to the inner area
3. its itching and after some days some hair is growing under the skin doing more iching.

I'm open for suggestions

I'm glad there are positive articles on this subject of hair removal. It's only fair that we men clean up the act as well. I prefer to pluck 'em out. Who needs a wet shag rug to munch on, anyways??

Also, shaving lotion and hydrogen peroxide do wonders for itching. It's worse when you start doing it, then goes away after its repeated.

Ok, getting rid of the hair is the answer. The first time you swallow a clump of pubes, you are pretty turned off to the whole thing. And chicks say its cleaner because during their monthly there is not a "net" to catch the mess.
How you do it is another thing entirely. My wife and I both shave. The angle is tricky, but as long as you are careful, you will be safe. Regular shaving cream works just fine. My wife prefers to use my razor (Mach 3). And, as much of a pain as it may be, doing it every day really helps. Besides eliminating any stubble, razor burn will occur less frequently.
However, she is going to get waxed today. We found a place that will wax whatever you want done. Going to your regular hairdresser may be a little weird, so check around. I am really excited about the waxing, its the only thing closer than a razor.
I have never had good luck with an electric razor, and the Nair, Nads and other crap like that is indeed crap. Avoid it!!!

Ok, and about the hair on the sack, that is tricky, but you do it the same as the rest. Squeeze it so the skin is tight and shave it with your razor. I know, thats really thin skin, and the thought of a cut is frightening, but if you are careful, you will be fine. And go as far down the sack as you can. When a chick licks there, below the testes, almost near the ass, WOW, its great. And she will appreciate smooth, hair-free skin there!!!
