so i trimmed myself for the first time today with a pair of scissors. and now it is itching CONSTANTLY. and its kind of annoying. what did i do wrong/what can i do better? and if possible, how can i get this itch to go away?

Trimming problems.
You most likely trimmed to short which is what causes the irritation you are experiencing. Look at how course pubic hair is and then when it's short it tends to stab the tissue causing the subsequent discomfort. Let it grow out more and it should subside; you can also use a bit of talcum powder (or corn starch) & see if that helps decrease the irritation.
This is gonna sound weird but next time you cut, lather in shaving cream and let it sit for about 5 or 6 minutes and then trim it. Ive noticed that it helps make the hair extremely soft and the itchy grow back doesnt occur
how long am i gonna be itching for, im just about ready to chop my groin off! im gonna have to try finding baby powder. (im in college so it could be hard)
Man, it'll itch until it grows back:( It won't have to grow back all the way, maybe 3/4 of an inch.

do you have any suggestions on how to better trim? i dont really want to use shaving cream. the only thing i really have access to that can trim is a pair of regular scissors which is what i used the last time, and it made me very irritated. i didnt even trim alot!
well im just saying shaving cream will soften up the hair....you dont need to shave completely clean...although i do this and me and my gf both love it....the only tips you can actually give when cutting with a pair of scissors....be sure not to shear the twig and giggle berries....nothin looks funnier than a penis without testes or testes without a penis....although i have yet to and refuse to see one. lol
Honestly, the only time I've ever had trouble is when I either shave it completely off, or anything under half an inch. I've trimmed my chest hair to 3/4 inches before, and that SUCKED! My shirt would grab the ends of the hair and move with it. Maybe whatever type of underwear that you where is doing something similar.
