I've heard about touching the clit is good but then I hear people saying it's way too sensitive to touch I'm really confused. If it is good to touch could anyone give me a few do's and don'ts?

Ahhh thank you very much for your time. My mist of confusion has been at last swept away.
Yea, when I do it, I don't really touch it directly either. I apply pressure on the outside (the left side of it) and just kinda wiggle and move it around.
When he does it, he likes to move some of the "hood" away and yea, just can't take that. Too much. lol.
what I do is I dont really touch it DIRECTLY. Its already kinda hiding underneath the hood.
When I do it myself, I usually place my hand palm down. I put my bird finger to the left of my clit, and my ring finger to the right. Its wedged between my fingers. Then I do a circle motion.
That way it is kinda of getting pressure from all sides with out having intense direct pressure.
I dont like having fingers directly pressed down on it.

With me, there are times he can touch it and I love it. Other times he can touch it just right and it can hurt. I mean it feels good, but it's hurts like a bitch. It's just too sensitive at the angle he's touching it at.
And after I have an orgasm, it's very sensitive as well.
So I say go ahead and touch it. If she pulls away, let her pull away. It may be hurting her in a way.
Also, don't press too hard. It's not a button. It doesn't need to be dug into. lol.
