Instead of rubbing the clit area in circlular motions, I tried rubbing and sort of flicking the clit itself. She made some good noise so I thought she liked it, but she wanted me to stop after a minute which normally doesn't happen. Could it be it was too sensitive for her or something?

Too sensitive?

There have been other posts on this subject. Most of the ladies will tell you the clit is a very sensitive area and needs to be treated as such. It could be that in your enthusiasm you are crossing from a pleasureable experiance to pain. Imagine your penis being gently stroked and suddenly switched to being flicked with a finger. Try alternateing the circular massageing and just strokeing the hood but not directly on the clit. I've found the best, almost universally approved, method of direct clitoral stimulation is with your tounge. That seldom gets complaints.
I second the tongue option :) works wonders. But mate, go easy. The clit is part of the pleasure. If you focus too much, she'll get pain. Address the inner tighs, boobs, belly... generally, be down there, and focus everywhere :)
Yeah I did know about it being really sensitive, just wanted to try some stuff out haha, but I learned my lesson.
