Toilet water splash....

Hi,

Was just wondering....are there any dangers that can be caused by 'toilet water splashes'? Like can it cause an infection or is it just something that's a nuisance but has no side effects?

(And i'm not talking about it happening when someone else has been before you and hasn't flushed.....that's just plain gross!!! )

If it's your urine, it's harmless. Just wash up, remember it did come out of you.

I don't think so.... I think the only way to cotract something from a toilet is if there is a living transmittable pathogen (bug) on the seat of the toilet and you make contact with that pathogen in an open wound on your bum or any compromised epidermal point of contact with the seat....if the two meet, that pathogen (ie: infection or virus) can then tranfer to you.
The chances of this happening are slim-to-none though.

Yes you would need to have an open sore or a cut in the under area for disease to transmit... and how often do you get injured down there.

Everybody uses public restrooms. If there really was such a health hazzard then wouldn't eveyone around you have something?

You need a virus/bacteria, a portal to transmit, and an opportune host to provide the environment.
