Cute title aside, though. (with an awwwww from my girlfriend who's sitting next to me....)
We have 3 questions that we'd like adressed.
1) When a condom is put on a shaft with foreskin, is it best to pull the foreskin back before putting the condom on? I assume this is so, but hey, we have no practical experience.
2) How do you check if there is a break in a condom?
3) When is the best time in a girl's cycle to have sex when she's on birth control?
Thanks in advance.
P.S. Great forum, I've been lurking for a few months and learning lots from you guys.

1. It depends. My guy's automatically retracts when he gets hard so he doesn't have to worry about it really. But, I've read posts on here where people do it either way. I personally think it would be more logical to retract the foreskin when you put on the condom, but I guess it's what ever really works for you.
2. Well, afterwards you could always run water through it and if there's a hole or something, you'll know.
3. I don't really know. I'm not on birth control so I'm not quite sure how the process works. However, I think the purpose of BC is to like stop the fertelization (sp?) of the egg. The egg will still pass through, which is what makes her have her period, but it like can't really become fertile... or something like that. I'm sure someone else can shed some light on the subject better than me. However, whether she's on BC or not, I'd still suggest the condom because that's two things the sperm would have to find it's way through.
What method of birth control is she using? If you mean a hormone based method like the pill then any time is a safe time but if maybe you're referring to what some refer to as the calender method then during her period is the safest time I believe. I'm not really up-to-date on that method because the only time my cycle is regular enough to use that method is when I'm on the pill.
iamawsum: She's on the pill. Sorry for not mentioning that. I heard that there are better and worse times when on the pill. But perhaps I heard wrong. Thanks. I'll see if anyone else has anything to say.
thetease: Thanks for the water idea... makes enough sense. And we intend on using condoms even though she is on the pill. Better to be safe than pregnant.
Thanks a lot to both of you.
If anyone has an idea about the safest times in the cycle to have sex when on the pill, feel free to post and correct/confirm what was said before.
I don't see how there could be a better or worse time to have sex while on the pill. It's always doing the same thing, stopping fertilization. If she's on the pill and you're using condoms then I don't see how she could have a high risk of getting pregnant.
yea the pill stops you from ovulating so there really isn't a "fertile" time frame since you didn't ovulate
but thats the risk is that if you miss a pill or are really late w/ one, there is the chance you could pop out a egg.
but yea w/ the pill (taken correctly) and a condom (used correctly) you should have no problems
Alright.
Epic.
Thanks a lot. I'll be lurking and maybe posting in some of the threads... I like this place.
If I have any questions (or my girlfriend does), we'll be sure to post.
