tantra

for this being a sex info site i couldn't find anything on tantra, i am a bit of a tantra buff, anybody else experienced or tried tantric rituals?

Hey lakimada,
I know what you mean spiritualy, but i have never experienced it and yet i would love too,
i understand that when we are on earth we may have either male or female bodies, but our souls are made up of the pure energy that contains both male and female. You heard of prana?
anyways, maybe you could describe some basic excersizes for everyone to try, i know i would love to, and hey other people may start experiencing other things too.

i have heard and read most of all spiritual practices but there are only a few that i take deep interest in. have experienced pranic energy before which was a difficult experience to go through, in my opinion one has to be willing to let go of everything about themselves. its a beautiful healing energy.

creating orgasm
this is one of the most fulfilling actions one can take in tantra IMO, not creating a physical orgasm but creating a mental and spiritual, once you can do this you can increase your physical pleasure.
you can just meditate or deeply relax, then start contemplating about what the sexual act feels like? imagine the feelings that one goes through, breathing, wetness, ans the likes of. it can take awhile before one starts to feel it. its just like exercising a muscle the more you exercise the stronger it becomes after once you have learnt it, it can transfer into bodily functions. also imgaine what an orgasm feels like and try to recreate the feeling in your mind and emotions.

ahhhh i see, deffinately something to work towards then huh,
I havnt fully experienced pranic energy, but i am working towards it somewhat slowly mind you but i am getting there!!
thankyou for the info i will give it a go!! and try and keep my hands stiller then usual haha

What can you achieve??
haha
the joys of limited research and bad google advice !!

i have heaps more just depends what you want to acheive.

I've got a few books on tantric sex and the idea just intrigues me. I have yet to find someone with the patience or the depth to practice these techniques, and if one is not too limber, some of the positions are quite difficult. The art of seduction, foreplay, and controlled release is very interesting. What have your experiences been like?

i've only had solo experience but have quite a indepth knowledge and practice of tantra.
for a guy its one of the most gratifing and most difficult things mentally spiritually and physically. to experience an orgasm on all 3 levels and lose ones perecption on sexuallity and become an orgasmic energy, you lose all sense of straightness, and become the femimine and masculine energy combined, the physical aspect of it was quite amazing, it felt like i was experience the sensation of an orgasm for the first time, but not only that of a males but also a females, and a combination of the 2.

That sounds absolutely wonderful. It's amazing to me what sex has become in our culture: instant gratification. While I enjoy instant pleasure too, I am also in search of something more meaningful. My man actually bought me the tantra books, so maybe I should look into exploring it with him a little further. Nothing is better to me than having a sexual experience that heightens all of my senses, stimulates my mind, and leaves my body feeling alive. Congrats on finding something beyond tactile stimulation and delving into something more spiritual.

Questions do come up on Tantrism from time to time. They are referred to study with the caveat that Tantrism is a discipline that includes so much more than sex. Spiritual, physical, psychological and emotional preparation is required. Much of the teachings of tantrism have never even been written down and a teacher is required to truly develop enlightenment.

Even following the sexual path, which is far from the entire journey, I find your observations a little twisted. Enlightenment resides in the yoni, or female sex organs, and I am not certain how one could practive tantric sex solo. I especially do not understand how one can practice tantric sex separate from the other teachings of the tantras.

I do believe tantra is a journey requiring much discipline and understanding, and above all patience. But as I stated, I am not well-versed and have only begun to discover the benefits of practicing tantra, along with various forms of meditation. First and foremost, I do believe that in order for tantra to be beneficial or even pleasurable, development is required on both parties; whether that be emotional, physical, or spiritual in nature. My understanding of what tantra can bring to my life, beyond sex, is clarity. Clarity of mind, clarity of the sexual act being more than just physical, and the belief that my body is something to be respected.

The guy that I am currently seeing is very much into spirituality and to me that speaks volumes as to what he values and what is necessary in his life. Sex with him is beyond any physical act and the word transcendence resonates very well. He equated our experiences together as finding "nirvana". But what is amazing to me is the fact that he is quite nervous in nature and states that I have this calming affect. I'm a massage therapist and tend to incorporate sensual massage in our sexual acts and it works wonders. So, tantra for me is a building block, a part of a long journey. At the end, I hope to discover enlightenment, whether alone or with the help of another.

Sex is not a physical act for me and that is why I referred to the current view on sex in my previous post. It's really sad that women in particular are labeled as objects and use that view as sort of a sexual power. Sex is not about power, unless you're into that, but about sharing an experience that involves the mind, body, and soul.

yeah tantra is a lifestyle that goes way beyond just the physical, which some of the experiences i have had which i created though intuition, most of the stuff i had experienced even before reading about it,
there are teachings written down all especially all over the net, but i think no i BELEIVE to my very soul that one has to break away from the dominance of a teacher student relationship and become both student and teacher.

tantra sex solo definition which is one of my own, its more of the spiritual side, we all have a femimine energy and masculine energy, and one creatse two seperate spirits/beings (kind of like split personality which is kinda scary) within themself and create a sexual experience with the two so they become one again.
i have never heard of that enlightenment resides in the yoni, not in any tantric writings or anything, it resides in the soul/mind. enlightenment is not a physical action.

its sad espeically in the western culture that people seem to practice just tantric sex and don't follow the philosophy, asanas, yantras and mantras of tantra, maybe some mantras, because of the exhale or the oo or ahh but never really get deeper than that.

OK

sorry (shy's away) i just love my philosophy and spirituality.
