hey. you can go to alot of places and find some really good lingerie. My personal favorite is the internet. I hardly ever go to the store anymore for lingerie unless i need it immediately for something "special".;) You can go to PlayBoy, Doxy, Baby Phat, etc. Google if you want. I am addicted to Victorias Secret and actually have an Angel Card that is very affordable if you dont max your limit. Be smart with it. Unfortuanetly, their clothes can get expensive though. So just hit up the mall for something cheeper but still looks good. If your looking for panties, you can find some cute ones at alot of simple high fashion clothing stores. I love the Boy Shorts because I think they compliment the body the best.They accent your behind, make your thighs look good and you dont feel so naked. So, i hope i was helpful at all. My suggestions will be on the soft, sexy and practical and not with the lacy contraptions (that is a technical term btw) since you are new to this and a self proclaimed tomboy. Also, it's what I happen to be attracted to..so here are some things that I love.

* Booty shorts (you know those tight things where the bottom half of her booty hangs out) with like a spaghetti strap tank top...you may also feel free to add some knee high athletic type socks it you have long legs

I'll take sports for $500:

* Don't ask me why...but no shirt, thong and running shoes...I dunno why

So all in all...not really much lingerie in there, but I really have a disdain for it...it always feels forced and unnatural to me.

I have a bit of the same problem. I've always been a bit of a tom boy and personally I feel super silly in lace and frills, even if it is lingerie. So what I found worked best, was just a simple pair of sexy panties. Maybe a cute pair of boy cut panties and a tank top in a girlie color. Or like Chino suggested the jersey (maybe his favorite team) and no panties always works too

I prefer anything with a G-string panty and heels. Wearing clothing over it with the hint of what is underneath is a real turn on as well.

Hard N Good said a simple truth - the best lingerie is the kind that comes off! As it does tend to get in the way.

Now then - what is called a "babydoll nightie" is what you want. Sheer fabrics, one simple closure in the front and a matching pair of undies that are easily removable. I do not own one. But my lady friends tell me the men seem to enjoy them.

My choice of "lingerie" is a heavy silk but short in length Japanese robe that does not tie at all and a pair of stiletto-heeled shoes. From the back you see this elegant robe, that stops just below my rump, and all of those legs! Very effective the men tell me.

Or I wear a matching set of bra and thong in lace in a color that harmonizes with my skin tones. Usually but not always lace. A black leather corset is also very effective but that might be a bit more than you're willing to spend, $365.oo, and may be considered "specialized" clothing.

Victoria's Secret is, in fact, one of the best places to shop for the more mainstream lingerie. They do have a good selection of "babydoll nighties". For anything a bit more risque' you'll have to do an Internet search for what is called "fetish clothing". Shopping is so much fun when it is for lingerie - take your fellow with you and buy what makes him break out in a sweat!

The advice immediately above from Evilkitten is similar to my advice.
If you have an athletic build, that would work fine.

Beyond that, I would also get a new hair style, to help your own
confidence and to (if needed) change his perception of you.

Of course, you could go a different way and pick up one of those
role playing outfits like that of a school girl or a maid. If you do that,
you will need to get into the role, and not talk about how silly you feel,
because that will defeat the purpose.

Fredericks of Hollywood. Once described to me as Victoria's Secret for the punk set. And it does have a punky edge to it but it has more mainstream stuff as well. It also has wigs and a few sexy costumes. They have them in bigger malls and at www.fredericks.com . But honestly his favorite peice of lingerie I have I got on clearance at Macy's. It was a babydoll thing. An underwire bra with some black lace and mesh haning off it. It was low enough profile that it fit under the dress I wore to pick him up from the airport. Purposely bent far over to pick up his bag and gave him a peek. That was over a year ago and yet every once and awhile he asks for it.

I like lingerie that is sheer and is simple. My wife doesn't wear it often since she says it just ends up on the floor. But it sure looks good on her. A thong is what I like the most and I understand that some are uncomfortable so it may take some time to find some that you like. Matching bra and panties are also super sexy. As far as style of lingerie, a variety is nice. Just start to experiment. I know for me that when I change into a thong and wear it for the day, it makes me feel sexy and ready to go. For my wife, if she wears something like a thong or puts on lingerie at night, it really puts her in the mood just because she knows how sexy I think she is with it on. So it gets her thinking about sex more and gets her in the mood.

I personally like anything with a thong. I do like silk as well. Like was mentioned earlier, it doesn't stay on long but it really gets things going and sets the tone for the evening.

Few things I would stress...

- Get something you are comfortable in. Something you can feel your sexiest in. Your confidence will rub off on the guy and will make the experience that much better.

- Get something that shows off your best "Assets". If you have a tight stomach, get something that opens towards your stomach and covers your upperbody(not because you want your upperbody covered of course, but to give the guy the thing you want to show him first). If you have nice legs, wear something that will draw attention to them like stockings or some nice panties with some racy material(silk, lace).

- Ask him what he likes. If he has a certain style picked out, try to get it in his favorite color or something that is specific to him.

The thing I do NOT like about Frederick's of Hollywood is that their fabrics are cheap - they scratch my skin and end up irritating me. Plus, they simply do not last. This is why I recommend heavy silk and the higher quality Victoria's Secret products. They slide over the skin smoothly. They can last through the heavy wear I put on them.

I have always enjoy watching my wife in sexy lingerie. Victoria Secret and Fredericks of Hollywood are not the best of lingerie sites. I would recommen that you search the web for French Lingerie. I find them to be more clasy and sexy. And since you can get direct from the manufacturer, the prices are resonable too.
The sexiest lingerie are lacy see thru or sheer. This will really shows off her "assets". I always like to keep my wife's lingerie on when we make love. Caressing her nipples thur her lacy bra gives her the extra feeling and really arouse her.
Garters and stockings are an added on advantage if you like to go that far.

I agree with McKay, my man LOVES see through. It could be anything from a simple tank, to a lace edged teddy, but if it's made from sheer material... it gets his heart pumping and his d!#K hard!!

LeSenza is a fairly nice store for that type of thing. Here in Atlantic Canada, we don't really have much - not that I've found at least, but you can always find something cute there

if you wanna do something a bit more unique and shock him AND be able to get it off easily, try a C string and a bra that opens form the front. And do black or white. White is kinda "pure" which means you can make it dirty, and black has that naughty feeling.
