Yes, I know, I should be smooth as Bond, but I "need improvement." Anyone got any tips?
Last time I tried it, after I was fiddling with it for a while, she said "Come on, this is the easiest bra I've got..." Made me feel kind of down at the time. So how can I get better in this area?
Thanks alot

Um, the best way (I think) to get around the embarassment of asking is to act like you're a pro and it would turn you on to see her do it.
Be creative.. make a coupon book and give it to her as a gift. Put random things in there such as
I Will buy you icecream once.
1 Free kiss
1 Free massage
5 Free bra removal sessions
blah blah..
I've been with my g/f for about a year and a half, and honestly... sometimes the bra is a bitch and totally kills the mood. It really just is a pain in the ass to take off sometimes.
Oh, comeonnow.......
I sorta doubt there are many of us male types around who haven't had their patience tested with this. I remember one time when I tried to find the clasps and was wondering why my girlfriend was snickering. Come to find out the hook was in the front!! Oh! boys, ya just roll with it and laugh it off. In the overall scheme of things this is not a big deal.
If she does unhook it herself I prefer that that is all she does so that I can remove it when ready--assuming we're not in any big rush, and then all bets are off.
If you are having difficulty, fess up and ask her for her help. I don't understand why anybody needs to be embarrassed about it.
Or if you are a "REAL" good sport...just put your head right up her blouse, shirt whatever and tell her you've got to have a closer view of this mechanical linkage that is frustrating you....just have fun!!..:)
Practice makes perfect!
Borrow (with permission) one of her bras and hook it around your upper leg and open and close it until you can do it in your sleep.
I always find it's really easy to imagine what the clasp looks like in my mind so unclipping it seems like an intuitive activity.
Thanks you two...
Great suggestions.

I like this idea!
Have her do it herself?
I've been with my BF for ten months and he still doesn't get it. I don't blame him, sometimes I can't even get it off myself without a struggle. I don't even bother playing around - I just take it off myself before he even gets there. Why not have her do the same.
I'm blessed with the ability to unhook a bra one handed when I reach round from her front, but I'm doing it two handed from behind it becomes more tricky.
The best way is to feel for the clasp and then just slip your thumb and forefinger under the strap and slide them together - works for me anyway. The way it works is that you need to slide the sides of the clasp in the same direction so that the hooks can slide free of the eye on the other side - like taking your trousers off with the brass catch (instead of a button) similar principle.
Confused? You will be!

To quote a TV show...
"Buy a bra, and practise on it at home. Then give it to [girlfriend] as a present."
Hint to women: A well fit bra is easier for him (and you) to open and close!
I'm sure women invented bra's for fun, just to see men struggle, dont worry about it though, what I do is give the bra a little test first, something she won't notice, if it feels easy, I get to work, if not, just pretend you're sliding your hands down her back!
Nathan :)
And all along I was under the impression Howard Hughs invented the brassiere.
Oprah Winfrey devoted a TV show to the proper selection of these garments. The main point of the program was that most women do not understand how to choose the proper one and thus wear one either too small, too large, or too wrong in other ways. So much for using the tape measure as suggested in the Sears catalog!
Bras were invented in France about the beginning of the 20th century. Sizes, as in cups, were introduced by Bali in 1926. The strapless bra was invented by Howard Hughes specifically for Jane Russell in the Outlaw. How's that for useless information.
I have seen estimates that more than half of all women wear the wrong size bra. I have all mine made by the only male corsetier in Scotland! He is wierd but inherited the business from his mother and I am about the third generation of my family fitted there. Dear, but they fit!

I think that after almost 21 years of searching, I have finally found my calling.

LOL
Yea I think this would be better than being a Gyno, and less school :)
You guys are tough!! His mother began as a bra seamstress and ended up owning the business with four women working for her. He inherited the business along with the four seamstresses. He does "fitting" and we customers do tolerate some questionable measurements but he is harmless - to us. You should have heard him the day I showed up with the pms bloats for a special fitting. He did not know if I was safe to touch or not.
One of the seamstresses recently told me he has another shop across the town making BDSM and cross-dresser accoutrement. She always like to "make the usual women's garments."
Bat & Doc,
I will allow you to make two measurements: distance between shoulder blades and the distance from point of shoulder to crook of elbow. You are as hell will not do the "firmness" check!

You are ABSOLUTELY correct with that statement Brandye..It's best an expert like myself do that specific check:) :) :) So what time would be best for you ??? and just in case hell does freeze over...do you have another time in mind?? LOL

Come now! There is no need for a firmness check, let's be realistic here. The two measurements you mention are important. However, it is also important to test the weight of the breasts, so that a proper stitch can be used to provide the proper amount of support. This test of course can only be done by hand, because, as you can imagine, there are no scales that would be usefull when trying to weigh items of this nature, and even if there was, I wouldn't trust them. I've been making bra's for three days now, and I'll be damned if I let a machine try and steal the best part of my vocation from me!;)
You would be amazed at what all gets measured for a real fit.
Wow, I feel a wee bit special, I don't have this problem.
I have been with several different breast sized woman ranging from A size to DD size. The smaller the bra, the less clamps it has that closes it, the shorter space between clamps, the easier it is. You should be able to un-snap up to a 3 clamp bra with your thumb and index finger.
This is how I have always done it.
(From the "making out" position)
Step 1: Reach around your partner, and feel for the clasps on the bra.
Step 2: There is a ridge of material where the hook clasps are sewn into, you want to put your thumb on that ridge of material. (Facing her it would be on the right side of the bra)
Step 3: Now place the top side portion of your index finger directly to the side of the hoop clasps. (Facing her it would be the left side of the bra)
Now carefully gently but Firmly squeeze your thumb and index finger together, so that you have each side of the bra, your fingers should be on the material directly to the side of the hoop/hook clasp. At the same time you should pull back a little on the bra, make sure you don't pinch the skin.
(Basically like squeezing someones cheek, but your doing it to the clasp area of a bra)
Now squeezing the bra firmly between your thumb and index finger, move your thumb forward while pushing down firmly, and walla clasps come un-done, and the hidden treasures are revealed
Its very hard to describe and visualise doing this, but it is really easy.
