An unprecedented study of sex and seniors finds that many older people are surprisingly frisky — willing to do, and talk about, intimate acts that would make their grandchildren blush. That may be too much information for some folks, but it comes from the most comprehensive sex survey ever done among 57- to 85-year-olds in the United States.
This does not surprise me in the least. It is awesome to see that seniors still enjoy sex. :) Sex is a very intimate act that definitely bonds the couple together so it is good to see that most of them are still having sex even into their late years.
Heck, just check out OLD KINKY"S posts right on this site! They make me blush!!:o :o LOL...he's good sport!!
Nothing wrong with being old and kinky! ;) :p

Hey, good on 'em. Gives me something to look forward to.
I'm glad to see it. Maybe I have something to look forward to. :)
That is very good thing. Let's not be afraid to get old. It's still fun :D
Yes, I agree with Cycle---good for them. I was paired with an
older gentleman awhile back during an outing. I had never met
this person before and obviously knew nothing about him. He
was very engaging we seemed to get very well during the afternoon.
He began to tell me about his life and seemed to be very reflective in
his thought process. What really captivated me was his adoring tone
when discussing his wife. He spoke in the past tense and with such
conviction and affection. I did not want to pry but simply wanted to
listen. There is a great deal that can be learned from older people
if you simply TAKE THE TIME TO LISTEN. Again, off topic but the thread
sparked my memory.
Dear constantlylearning; no need to bring up getting of the original topic of the thread! You found it interesting and made your opinions accordingly! LOL, you make me laugh!
That's kind of you to say. It seems that some topics bring out
different thoughts, opinions and memories that are somewhat
different from the original intent (at least to me). Yeah, I am
"laughing" at me also.....YIKES
How come the laughter???LOL
How come the laughter???LOL
You just make me laugh and smile...not a negative connotation; its a positive one!
Like I mentioned previously, I seem to get off topic a bunch.
I am glad you laugh and smile at posts whether these laughs are
"at" me or with me. The outcome is the same so that is a good
thing in my book---you having fun. Life is short, better to be
an active participant as opposed to watching it go by. I would
like to commend you on how you seem to give very thoughtout
replies to many of the posters. I have read several of your replies
to issues of substance and they are quite thoughtful. It has been
fun to comment a few times as well. KEEP SMILING, it lights the
world on it's way.

Again, that is very kind of you to say. You have a special
gift and it shows. Sharing opinions is a good thing don't you
think?

Well, it's very much a "mutual admiration society."
Well, it's very much a "mutual admiration society."
Now, are we not just a "bunch of fun" here [on the site]? LOL! :) Reminds me of the movie "The Breakfast Club" !
That is a movie from my "era." A diliquent, a jock, a nerd, a
socialite, and a ummmmmmmm confused person. Definitely
always a fan of FUN.......
Ferris Bueller's Day Off........I loved leaving school for lunch............
So, who was the favorite from the Breakfast Club???
Did you forget about this thread all together??
Favorite from the breakfast club was the delinquent, anti-social which took up with the one in the parking lot---as her mother picked her up. Cannot recall right now was it Judd Nelson? Slight memory loss, not due to age thanks...no I just had to run out and skipped it accidentally!!!
Your favorite??? And why??? What is your all time favorite movie--ever?
That was Judd Nelson and the "social lite type" was Ringwald (not sure
about that). Don't you actually get better with TIME? Probably the
delinquent (no idea why) LOL... The jock was TOO uptight.........Not
the geek type.... so, had to be the delinquent......I will have to really
think about the BEST ever Movie but it will be sappy probably.

Your favorite ALL TIME??
I am still thinking...............
Your favorite ALL TIME??
I am still thinking...............
"Heartburn" & next is "Moonstruck"!
Don't think I could pick just ONE. I tend to like movies that have
a romantic flair. "The Lake House", "The Notebook", loved the movies
from the 80s like St. Elmo's Fire, About Last Night. These were coming
of age movies during my TIME. I enjoy Happy Endings ( I know I know---
life is not upotia).
Maybe, I just like people to be Happy.......Hopeless romantic perhaps.
Hopeless romantic is good; especially given the age it's difficult to find today...Trust me!

Maybe, I just like people to be Happy.......Hopeless romantic perhaps.
Not sure it is generational or age related but rather an individual thing. Goes
back to the unique discussion previously. It is highly unlikely you have ANY
trouble regardless of the circumstances.
Sera, why so quiet on this one?
Being ill has set me back at bit....packing a 36 hour day into 24 hours with concealing how horrible I feel physically. No particular reason for avoiding the post...no aversion to the content of it. :)
I'll be damned if I break any commitments I have made to obligations; meanwhile, I will to burden family or anyone who immediately surrounds me. Have to be positive always!
As far as the post; I believe it is the essence of one's character as a human being. Age? I think it has to do with what you do with your life; those who may be younger take much too deeply or too negatively. Life throws people a curve and when you develop positive coping mechanisms this is achieved with maturity and through experiences [both positive & negative]. Regardless of what has happened in ones life; if you learn nothing from it, you are slated to continue to fail. No one will pick you up by the boots just you can do that; otherwise, it's making excuses for what has happened to you as a person. It's nearly a fear of impending doom which lingers as a cloud over one's head; let the cloud vanish, then all matters become immaterial, and you can move forward in a positive direction.
I always have been a hopeless romantic...with a spin of reality; "Prince Charming" is not showing up to save me! Perhaps just a very nice man will appear in my life and want to be part of it. Two things I have always wanted; happiness & unconditional love. For now, hopefully only temporarily, it appears my pets fit the bill the best!
Yes, meeting your obligations can be quite stressful but taking care of yourself
physcially is probably more important. I think everyone wonders if the dreams
they once had and believed in will infact come true. We all want to find a
better understanding of life. You hang in there and as you so elegantly said
be "positive always."

Remaining productive is a must and not compromising my health is a priority. However, I did make an obligation as a trustee and will do so. Have to always be positive...otherwise the options are not so pleasant!
Have your hopes/dreams come true? Time to disclose some info. I have been an open book...time to share. :) Fair is fair, correct?
What a great thread is this and it gives me hope. 69 yrs old...69 always was a great number!!!
