Lastly, and for future reference, please know and understand that when you have any type of sexual contact with another person, you essentially have also had indirect vicarious contact with every other individual that this person has ever had sexual contact with. This is how "social diseases" are spread.
Please be more responsible in your future so that you protect that future. Do not be afraid to ask questions and get a "history" on a person's prior sexual escapades. It is not uncommon for someone to acquire a disease from casual sex sometimes with perminent and lasting results.
Consider a penis to be the equivelent of a loaded canon and that whatever you do with it, you are playing a game of Russian Roulette albeit with a single barrel and not a six shooter with five empty chambers. Make sure the "bullets" are clean and disease free before firing it.
While it is not impossible to pass HIV/AIDS through oral sex - it is unlikely - so says the NIH website. But herpes etc are well represented in the literature.

Sex is sex and it is all dangerous if you are not prepared. This includes (among many other things) knowing the person you are with (and their history) as well as having protection and knowing that this is exactly what you want to do and who you want to do it with. STDs can be transmitted durring oral favors. If you were to catch something that you can't shake you won't be having much sex in the future. Not every STD is fixable. You have to be careful of what you do today as you are not well informed of the consequences that go along with it.
While latex doesn't sound like it would taste too good they do make flavored condoms for oral deeds. They aren't the best tasting but I would rather taste one for a little while then to have to take pills everyday of the rest of my life for HIV or Herpies. But then again I don't give head to random guys. If you choose not to listen to us, you really should go to your local Family Planning Center or Planned Parenthood or whatever it is called where you live. They can give you lots of information on this type of activity. Or at least hook you up with some protection. Or better yet Don't Do It Again!

I know that teens today don't think oral to be sex and that it is being done left and right to any and every guy by whichever girls are doing it. The facts are that is it not safe and in no way is a good idea. If it is about being popular or so someone will like you or everyone else is doing it, then those are not good reasons to be doing something so stupid and dangerous. You didn't even know the guy, how is that a good idea?

Research also shoes that one in five people over the age of 12 in the U.S. are infected with HSV-2 and many more are infected with HSV-1. And 90% of those infected with HSV-2 don't know it.
You might have gotten lucky this time and not contracted anything but next time who knows...be on the look out for symptoms, You'll never know what this guy could have had since you didn't even know him let alone his past.
It is not ok to suck people off you dont know. However if it was a friend or someone you knew well, that is fine. There is nothing wrong with oral with a friend to releive sexual tension.
I think it was stupid, not for the whole love thing as I feel love is an illusion anyway, but as Doc said.....you don't want to contract aids and drastically shorten your life merely for a few minutes of pleasure. Do it safely and you can do it longer and more often anyway, ;)
