If you bath properly, you may need to wash the groin twice a day depending on what you are doing. If you are clean, use good hygiene, and have no rashes such as jock itch then I would say it's normal male smells. You can try some powder to keep all dry.
Hormones & pheromones are released as part of your body...we all have them. Women sweat as well & "stink". Wear cotton underwear & let yourself "air out" when possible...
You are probably more in tune with the smells since its part of development.
You have a moist environment which is dark and an ideal breeding ground for scent.
what kind of powder do you recommend?
and do you think it will go down? (me being 16)

It will be predominant. This is why many trim back the pubic hair, wash frequently, etc. As your hormones become more stable throughout life, you many notice less odiferous scents; however, it's part of your biology and body chemistry.
Just wash frequently, dry well, use a mild soap such as Ivory, and "dust" with a tad of powder if you need. I always used plain old baby powder; or cornstarch.
Also, if you consume a lot of McDonald's or Burger King type of foods...heavy fats, people have a different body scent.

I am smiling at your use of the word 'stink'.
Dr Johnson, the compiler of the first english dictionary in 1755 made the distinction between the word 'smell', which is the act of sniffing and 'stink' which is the process of giving off an odour.
The story goes that Dr Johnson was in the garden with a ladyfriend who admiringly stated,"Do not the flowers smell so lovely?"
To which Dr Johnson replied,"Madam, YOU smell,.....they STINK"
thanx sera300.
i dont eat McDonalds or Burgerking, or any other fast food. but thanx again.
btw, i love the site. you guys are so helpful, and have a lot of information.

yeah but women "stink" smells good
Trim the fur, wash using Safeguard soap (made for this issue btw), dry well, and regular old Johnson's Baby powder afterwards. Toss out the fancy undies and just go with the plain old white all cotton BVDs or boxers. Make sure our pants have enough room in the crotch - FIT is important. Whatever you choose to eat is fine, but stay hydrated. Drink water!! Lots of it during the day!!
lol, i dont think that i have to worry about hydration in Nevada (have to hydrate a lot anyway). but i will definatly (sp) try the SafeGuard soap and boxers too. thank a lot evilevilkitten and sera300. You guys (and gals) are so helpful. thanx again! :D
I'll assume your concern is not related to sexual intimacy, so I have nothing to say in that regard.
However, if it were, showers are great foreplay. Especially getting and giving help washing this and that. Great simple, clean, fun (as long as you don't slip and knock yourself out in the tub that is...)!
Also, avoid wearing the same pair of pants too many times between washings. They too can trap funk and make you smellier more quickly.
Trim as I believe sera suggested...because hair does tend to trap scent. I noticed a "stink" a while ago so I started shaving and trimming and the smell disappeared..
Trimming is very good advice, and will help a lot. Another good soap is the Cetaphil Antibacterial bar. Just remember to soap the area up every day and rinse well. Eating right (fruits and veggies and a balanced diet) and staying hydrated will be very helpful because most of the reason you sweat is to get rid of toxins that your body couldn't process otherwise. If you eat right, you should have enough fiber to clean out your colon and be getting enough liquid to flush out your liver. When you don't have enough fiber and liquids, your body tries to compensate by flushing out toxins through your sweat. Even if you aren't sweating a lot, eating right and getting enough liquids can reduce unpleasant odors for this reason.
