How effective are they? Can you use more than one at once? Do they hurt? How far in do they have to be? How long until they take effect? How do you get rid of them?
Considering using these along with the pill once I finally have sex. Thanks.
edit: I meant to write 'spermicidal film' for the title, but I don't know how to change it. Sorry.

The film can be inserted any time prior to taking the penis into you. It dissolves almost instantly and releases spermicide throughout your vagina. It does have a slight lubricating effect but nothing like vaginal cream.
Once the film dissolves, you are done with it. Some of the residue will be absrobed through you vaginal walls and some will drain out with semen. There is an identifiable smell with any spermicidal application and you will notice this perhaps the next morning. No need for more than one at a time because they are a measured amount of spermicide and they are about like pushing a piece of soft paper into yourself.
Thanks so much :).
But (maybe this is because I don't really understand the functions of sperm) if it isn't removed, can't some sperm push their way past it and cause problems?
And, on a side note, is it true that sperm requires a liquid environment to live and travel?
Its not a strip that blocks the pathway. Its a strip like one of those listerine strips... that once you put it in your mouth.. it dissolves.
Google "contraceptive film" and read what it is all about.
Thanks :D.
Woops. My bf was logged in on that last one; sorry.
