A few things I learned from my first time.
Preparation is key. Do not try forcing it. Who knew foreplay could be that important?
Some kind of lube. We used some massaging oil and it worked well.
Don't do it on the floor. We did it on her floor because of the sheets and I will tell you that unless you have good padding underneath, missionary will kill your knees.
Do not rush. This goes back to the first thing.

Did you use a regular condom? I have found that the Lifestyle "Skyn" condoms made of polyisoprene (I think) tend to have a snug fit as opposd to latex.
Get a different size condom and squeamish is spelt with an a.
Other than that - Well done!
Trojan Fire and Ice is what we used. It was not what it shelled up to be (the condoms) and I felt nothing different.
