Soap in Urethra During Masturbation?

If a man gets soap in his urethra during masturbation, would that be harmful?

May sting a bit but not harmful.

I'm sitting here trying to visualize how any guy would get soap inside his penis? Please clarify.

Is he sitting in a bathtub full of soapy water?

Is he standing in a shower with soapy water running down his body?

Is the liquid soap or shampoo {a detergent) being squirted up his urethra?
(If so, why?)

Other?

The urethra is essentially flat with the wall being collapsed upon itself when nothing is being passed. My answer: No, and maybe if shampoo somehow got up there, or, the soap was perfumed. Brandye?

No problem. Some men jackoff in the bathtub with soap for lubricant (never mind how I know this) and some little bit could enter on the down stroke when the opening is spread.

It is more likely an issue for us women during normal cleansing. Rinse well, girls, or you will feel chapped. Actually, I never heard girl-talk on this topic. I use baby shampoo, mild and rinses easily.

Funny, I was thinking the same as DD2 :)

Was that an invitation to girl-talk? ;)
Like a good girl I still do what I was taught in high school; no soap in between the folds from the top of the crack on the back, to the tip where the labia come together above the clit on the front. I wash with luckwarm water. For guys; they recommend about the same in high school: no soap on the head op the penis or between the buttocks. Just pull back the foreskin and wash with water (most are uncircumcised here). They told us the tissue is far too delicate and soap will irritate and take away the natural grease the skin produces in a too aggressive manner.

This did go with the warning; once you've started washing it up with soap, don't quit! The skin has adjusted producing the greasy substance in larger quantities. If you'd stop with the soap it will lead to too greasy skin causing odor and more chance of bacterial infection.

Since my bf has always richly used soap on it, he needs to do that every day. If he can't (say: travel), the results become apparent soon...

huh i never heard that before. i knew that hot water drys out the skin but i didn't know that soap would increase production of oils. i wouldn't say i focus on getting the head but i probably don't miss it. is there still a smell if i am circumcised, because i don't notice one?and to me it only seemed natural to clean between the butt cheeks because one of the most smelliest things comes out of there, so why wouldn't you clean there.

LOL! It's not that you don't clean there! It's HOW you clean it ;)
I do accompany the water with a washcloth, especially during menstruation.
I don't know if it's flat fact or that there actually are several theories on it. This one was in the Dutch curriculum at the time.

OOOH OK:) i use one of those things that makes a lot of soap. i think it is called a lufa(sp)?

This guy was taking a shower and using the soap as a lube.

I think I will buy him some lube for masturbation. What kind is best?

it is quite common for guys spicygirl especially growing up when the shower is the only private place in the house.

I don't know "best", but recently came across masturbation cream by brands as Swiss Navy and Boy Butter. It is thick and turns ever slick during. Any boys here ever tried?

Soap is well known for drying out skin - think "dish pan hands". Thus the soap doesn't directly cause oil production, but causes the skin to dry, which makes it produce oil to compensate.

I use the same shower poofy I use on the rest of me, but only when the shower head is on a hose so I can rinse well (which is one reason I always make sure my home has a hosed shower head--the first thing I asked that we change when I first moved in with T, and the first thing we've done in every new living space since). If traveling and there's not such a hose, I don't use soap down there.

As far as lubes, I've heard NOT to use anything silicone based. Slippery to a point of unsafe when wet and stepped on.

In my opinion, it is not much harmful... But be careful while cleaning!
