Hi,
recently i've noticed that no matter how much i wash during the day "down there" it still seems to smell :S
it's never been like this before i've usually been fine washing just once a day but now i feel i have to do it at least 4 or 5 times.
I've recently changed sexual partners so i don't know if it's because of that? It's really embarassing, and inconvenient. Is there anything i can do about or does anyone know what it is? Its sort of a fishy smell its horrible, i'm so embarassed.
thanks

Have you been to a doctor to rule out an infection? Even a mild yeast infection can make the issue rotten! Wash with a warm, mild, soapy water (no perfumes, do not douche, and do not apply any body lotions) and be certain to dry very well after. Also wear cotton crotched undies--I know they are very sexy :).
If no better see a doc.
no i haven't yet, but if it continues much longer i will have to! my bf had thrush a couple of weeks ago, do u think maybe it's that he's given it to me?

Yeap! That can definitely be the culprit! Not all infections have symptoms such as itching.
Also--If he has not been treated he must. And you have to use condoms and no oral until you both are cleared! You both should be treated for it orally and you vaginally & if you had anal let the doc know.
Also, did he tell you why he has it? Did you both have full STD & HIV checks done prior to sexual activity? Connsider it.
Yeh he got treated, we didn't have sex til it was all gone cos he had these spots. He didn't know why he got it, it just appeared. I've been checked but he's going to be soon, he says he's always used condoms and the only time he hadn't it was with a virgin.
I'll make an appointment with the doctor them to get some stuff. thankyou!
Is it possible that perhaps it's his semen that becomes stale after a few hours, because since we've been going out we've had sex practically everyday and its not exactly easy to clean it all out from inside after he comes.. for the last 2 days i haven't seen him and i've noticed i don't even have the smell or anything, so is it because of him? if it is, what can i do to properly clean it all out afterwards so that i don't have to have this???

I could very well be semen, semen can have a rank smell after a few hours. But i would still go to the doctor it would be a shame to leave an infection unchecked when they are so easely treated.
If you have been ruled out for an infection then yes it can be the smell of both of you combined. We have the drippys for hours and the bacteria grows overnight. All you can do is wash well with warm mild soapy water afterwards or take a shower, then be certain to take another in the am. Do not douche.
I had the same issue. Turned out I had been scratched up toward my cervix by dirty fingernails. Less nerve endings, so I didn't feel it. I have become a b*tch about my honey washing his hands before he even thinks of touching me anywhere below the belt.
I had similar effects and mine turned out to be B.V.
Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is the name of a condition in women where the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina is disrupted and replaced by an overgrowth of certain bacteria. It is sometimes accompanied by discharge, odor, pain, itching, or burning.
Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) is the most common vaginal infection in women of childbearing age.
The cause of BV is not fully understood. BV is associated with an imbalance in the bacteria that are normally found in a woman's vagina. The vagina normally contains mostly "good" bacteria, and fewer "harmful" bacteria. BV develops when there is an increase in harmful bacteria.
Not much is known about how women get BV. There are many unanswered questions about the role that harmful bacteria play in causing BV. Any woman can get BV. However, some activities or behaviors can upset the normal balance of bacteria in the vagina and put women at increased risk including:
* Having a new sex partner or multiple sex partners,
* Douching, and
* Using an intrauterine device (IUD) for contraception.
It is not clear what role sexual activity plays in the development of BV. Women do not get BV from toilet seats, bedding, swimming pools, or from touching objects around them. Women that have never had sexual intercourse are rarely affected.
Women with BV may have an abnormal vaginal discharge with an unpleasant odor. Some women report a strong fish-like odor, especially after intercourse. Discharge, if present, is usually white or gray; it can be thin. Women with BV may also have burning during urination or itching around the outside of the vagina, or both. Some women with BV report no signs or symptoms at all.
You just get antibiotics from the docs. Good luck!
Thank you for all the replies!
