Yep, lube of some kind is the answer. If you are like me and don't really care for lube, then a small amount just under the head of the penis should be enough. You can use vaseline or even hand lotion for masturbation. But for sex (specifically with a condom) use a waterbased lube, like ky-jelly or Astroglide.
Masturbate with some sort of lube. Use lotion or something to reduce friction and stop the dryness.
