My girlfriend is on the birth control patch, but we still use a condom. If std's are not a question, is the condom still necessary or is it just slightly beneficial?

Should I still use a condom?

my boyfriend and i are in a monogamous relationship and we only use the pill. i make sure i take them properly.
we have sex once...maybe twice a week.
out of a months worth of sex, he cums inside me maybe twice.
so w/ that, im not sure what my odds are.
brandye? how do they figure the odds out since not everyone has sex the same amount of times a year and maybe the guy doesn't always cum inside. which i know precum can get your pregnant too, but not so much the whole load.
do they just take an average?
im guessing so...lol.
All the data are already here for you to make a decision. In the Golden posts are all the rates of pregnancy and they are also posted in Chick Chat.
The answer depends upon the level of risk you are comfortable with. Very few couples on the pill also use condoms. Among singles, I suspect many more continue to use the condom.
yes, you should still use a condom.
BC is not 100% effective, neither is a condom, but using the two together helps decrease the chances of getting pregnant.
plus makes it easier to clean up afterwards
