my gf and i just had sex for both of our first times and in the beginning she said it hurt but after a minute or two she said it didnt hurt anymore. after like five or six minutes she said it hurt again and so we stopped. that was two days ago and she is still saying she is "sore". is something wrong or is this normal.

This is quite common, but sex need not be painful. Make sure that you engage in tons of foreplay (the vaginal muscles take a lot more time to relax than it takes you to get an erection), wait until she is dripping wet (or add in lube), and go slowly and gently when she is ready. Compliment parts of her body that you like and make her feel loved and adored, so that she is less nervous (which will make her tense, and sex painful). I hope next time is better!
You're most likely being far too rough and slamming into her cervix or doing something otherwise too dry or too roughly. Throttle back a bit and go more towards being sensuous. Think 'erotic'! Remember she feels with all of her skin as well as with her genitals so make sure your not just doing intercourse.
