It is not unusual for girls--and BOYS, to be shy about intimacy as well as having a lack of knowledge. We can certainly help with the latter. As for the shyness, often this is just a matter of maturity and the solution is to wait it out until the person's desire overcomes their shyness or their being afraid. The worst thing a partner can do is to push or to cajole a partner into doing something s/he is not yet ready for.

Also, please keep in mind that relationships are partnerships and this holds true for the romantic and sexual aspects, also. Making out and making love are not what we do to each other; rather, what we do with and for each other in partnership. My recommendation is to open a channel of communication and encourage her to talk about questions and/or fears, and then talk them thru and seek answers from within the articles or various forums.
