so i had sex for the first time las night with a condom. The girl i had sex with had her period the next morning so does that mean we are clear of everything or does she have to wait until next month to see if she gets her period. Please help

You obviously do not know enough about sex to safely engage in it.
Cease and desist.
A girl does not release an egg and then the next day start her period. Her cycle consists of around 21-28 days, at any which time she can be releasing another egg and possibly get pregnant.
Is it likely that she's going to get pregnant at this point in time? No. But it is not unheard of for a woman to start her period and still be fertile on it or right before it.
I suggest you and her both read up on a girls cycle before you continue. And I definitely suggest for her to get to know her own cycle a little better before she continues. I think every woman should get to know her cycle and fertile and not so fertile times before she engages in sex.
