I prefer to be trimmed at the very least.  For awhile, I let the hair grow out and was pretty bushy.  Not pretty!  I shave the lips and the bikini line and then trim the patch on top.  Actually, my husband does the trimming and I do the shaving.  The only thing I don't care for about that is the CAMEL TOE!!!  It's getting to be summer and time for the bathing suits...which will really accent it!   But I guess some guys like that...?

You really do get used to the itching after a few times.
When I first started shaving it was horrible. And wow, ingrown hairs galore. But after about 4 or 5 times, I just got used to it.
Now it bothers me to have a lot of hair down there. lol.

I've always liked it bushier toward the top and trimed under.

color company in France....who produced pubic hair dye.
It was gynecologically safe(they said) and the boss didn't even want to try it around where I now live.(Said in New York maybe) But the girls in the demo had a red white & blue striped pubic patch to resembel the French Flag and a few other unique color schemes to show. He kept the demo tape
and showed at parties for it's entertainment value.

mpersia, its a mind thing... when we see.. the hair cleared away... which we remember it growing ONCE we turned older than 12.. or whatever age.. umm yeah.. for me.. its hard.. i dont wanna see it.. it reminds me too much of that, and being a child, hips, and boobs or not.. i have both.. and i just feel nakid and like a child.. i dont' like it.. cause i like some otehrs associate it with being a woman... its like the "full package" to me... but to shave it just messes with my head.. LOL

same with guys, i liked trimmed, shaved kinda weirds me outLOL

the most annoying part about being shaven though is that when it is growing back in it is SO itchy. and then there's the good chance you'll get ingrown hairs that are annoying as mess. that's why i've been reluctant to shave anything down there except my sack for over a month now.

My wife just came back from a week away and treated me with it cleanly shaved!

She came home to find a dozen roses with a card sending her on a treasure hunt through the bedroom where she found cards, notes and various pieces of lingerie. she claims to have been dripping wet all day!

When I got home from work, we teased each other through dinner and FINALLY getting the kids to bed (that'll be another post) and then had a good old time! I love going down on her anytime, but shaved was a treat!

Guess what? She found me shaved too!

Hey, I don't really want a guy fully shaven down there.
Makes me think of a boy and I really don't want it to seem like I'm screwing around with a 12 year old.

And if a guy thought I looked girlish fully shaven, that's understandable.
I really haven't grown much of anything since I was a kid. I don't have real big breasts and I certainly don't have any hips.

So really, it's all to each his own.

I can never understand why some men think that a totally shaven one is GIRLISH. Girls don't have hips and breasts.

I've shaved it for as long as i can remember.. It's just what I've always done and always been used to.

No one has ever complained, and even if they did, shaved is the norm to me, and if I were to stop, I'd probably be itchy and uncomfortable for quite some time.

I like shaved, but trimmed is also ok. I also return the favor for my wife by shaving & trimming myself (or letting her do it for me!)

Personal opinions from me as a guy:

Hair's fine, so long as there isn't too much.
Shaven is always fine.

I don't have a strong preference, really. I might lean a bit towards shaven or trimmed, but consider it a practical matter and not some deep psychological thing.

when i'm eating her out it's best if she's shaven, but if she's shaven she needs to be freshly shaven when i'm down there cuz it irritates my lip otherwise because it's so spiky. Trimmed works really well too. just long enough so it's soft again and not spiky. Like Alspals said, it's fun to play with the pubes a little. but i don't really feel like going on a safari every time i go down on a girl; trimmed or shaven is the way to go

Well, I can't speak for all guys of course, but i prefer hair.

One reason is simple enough. When i first started dating and i used to feel so unsure about "will she, won't she" thing, there was nothing quite like the moment when my fingers would slip inside jeans or undies. Back then (probably because i was in my teens) my fingers invariably found themselves smoothing through pubic hair. When i hit my mid twenties i came across gf's who shaved. It isn't without its charms (especially were oral sex is concerned), but I still get a rush from the feel of pubes.

In one of the earlier posts there was mention that maybe guys don't want to see a forrest down there. Well, I would go along with that. Once again it's not the be all and end all, but it can be a littel distracting.

i duno, trimmed is fine, but bald to me reminds me of little kids and that isnt cool.. so im with you on the whole "child woman thing".. i duno bah..

Some guys wont like it all bare because they think of it being "girlish and not womanish" but most guys also dont like a forest either (from what i heard) I think that a patch is probably what the general North American man likes (it might vary from culture to culture, i dont know and dont want to assume)
But i must say that i never got a negative reaction from any man by being bare so i guess it depends. My SO is much older than me and loves it! so maybe itts a generation thing or maybe its a kinky little girl/daddy thing we have going on but either way he loves it. Im sure your guy will love it and if he doesnt oh well... it grows back!

I did it as a surprise for my guy.
I originally just left a strip and he liked it. But I decided to go ahead and shave it all off and the next week when I showed him, he absolutely loved it.
He doesn't ask me any more, but he used to ask for quiet a few months if I had kept it shaved off down there and when I would reply with "yea" he'd always say something like "good, I like it that way."

But, it does depend on the guy. Some like hair. Some don't. Some like strips, some like it just trimmed down.
However, on the bright side, if he doesn't like it one way, it will grow back.
(Which is of course a down side if he likes it shaven. lol)

I have kept my pubic area shaved for years now and I feel "unclean" if I don't shave at least every week. And for some unknown reason....... I do find myself wetter(?) when I am sexually excited. It's all good!!!
