So my problem is that I'm a virgin and I get horny sometimes. I've masterbated, mostly in the shower but I always feel guilty afterwards, like I did something wrong. I've talked to my ex about it and he's always said it's completely normal but it's still weird for me. I think this is why I can't really please myself the way I wish I could. I don't feel like I get into it enough to hit that point.
Not only that, but I've never actually spoke with my friends about it but I've heard them say masterbating is nasty and I always think of that when I've done it. Is this weird? Am I overreacting? How do I get myself to fully relax?

You were evidently raised in a rather sexually repressive environment, as were your friends. The shower is not a likely place for women to masturbate. Look at some of the masturbating tips on this Board and visit clitical. com. Given your self-description on your profile it is strange that you feel embarrassed.

Lying down is a good way to start relaxing.

Thank u. And yea, I'm confident with a lot of parts of me but sex... Not 1 of them. Bt I want to become more comfortable with it. And I seem to have a problem picking good guys... Main reason I'm still a virgin :-/

Honestly, I've run into a lot of people who feel that way about masturbation..... it can be hard to get around it, but just remember, it's your body, your life, and you're sure as hell not hurting anyone by pleasuring yourself.

As for meeting decent guys, all I can say is that lots of guys as total dicks till their mid-20's at least, because they simply don't know what they want out of life. But be true to yourself, don't compromise, and you'll find someone who works!
