Motherto2 is on a distinguished road
Tore giving birth....now still having pain.

My oldest son is 11 and when I had him I tore UP, I also had an episiotomy. That seemed to heal well and my husband and I were back having sex within 4 weeks. We had our second son just over 2 years ago. I warned the Dr. that I tear "UP" before I had him. Well, my son decided to come out waving.....so.....AGAIN, I tore UP! I was yelling for her to give me an episiotomy and was told "we don't do that anymore". It took me 3 pushes to get him out, and it took her 45 minutes AT LEAST to sew me back together! I tore ALL the way up to the top of my clitoris. So here I am over 2 years later and we are STILL dealing with pain. I was told by another ob/gyn that it could take up to 3 or 4 years for things to "settle down". What other options are there for us? We've tried to "numb" things up and we use TONS of lube. Still there is pain. HELP! Please! I can't continue like this. Thanks.

Without exam, there is no reasonable suggestion to be made. There are clinics that specialize in labial repair and perhaps a specialist could help more. Get a referral to one in your area. Most major cities have at least a plastic surgeon experienced in these repairs.
