Yes, and not just cervical cancer but orally associated cancer as well. It's been discovered that HPV is a precurser to developing cancer of the gental organs, oral and respitory organs and the anus. Gardisil has only been approoved to prevent HPV related cancer of the female genital organs. If you know upfront that your partner is infected, which it's harder to diagnose in males you need to practice safer sex all of the time and condoms are not 100% effective in preventing the spread of HPV as it only needs skin to skin contact and condoms do not always cover all of the infected areas of the external genitalia and perineum.
