Long time reader first time poster

So I believe I have a cyst about the size of a pea to the right side of my urethral orifice. It light in color and looks like its filled with pus but it is fairly firm and it doesn't hurt to touch at all. It hasn't grown or shrunk since I've noticed it. It showed up about a week ago and I have absolutely no other symptoms that would suggest an STI or an infection.

My first question is if this sounds like a normal cyst? And my second question is, if I'm not having any symptoms and it doesn't hurt at all, should I have it checked? I've researched it a bit and most of the material I've found on cysts say they should go away on their own, unless they get infected or painful. I guess my last question is, since it has already been a week, if it doesn't go away soon how long should I wait before I get worried?

I assume you are a woman. Peri-urethral cysts often result from a blockage of the ducts from the Skene's glands. What you describe is that. Do not attempt to rupture it or otherwise mess with it. If it is staying the same, see a doctor. Easy fix.
