Period

Hi all

I know this forum is sexual health for women and my qusetion isn't relate to sex but its womens health so hope ya don't mind reading it.

My period was a few days late, while I was waiting for my period I have some signs of pregnancy but its not possible cause my fiancee and I always use protection, but then my period came, but last only 3 days, well it was regular period for 3 days and it normally last a week, but this time the period isn't normal, last 3 days and right now it is like just get rid of last few blood, like it is the 7th day but its only 3rd day, is this normal? Is there any possible reasons for this?

Any time a penis has been in a vagina, pregnancy is possible. Get a home pregnancy test and follow the instructions exactly.

You state that you always use protection but more information about what you use is needed to estimate the chance of pregnancy. Women are rarely perfectly regular and some of us get off schedule from time to time. Other health and even emotional issues can affect our cycles.

There is also the possibility that the egg was fertilized and the short period was actually a very early miscarriage.

Not much more to be said. Check it with a test.

My partner and I always use condoms, I know they are not 100% effectively but we always checked the condoms and so far no tear or leaking. But yes I think I should take a pregnancy test to ease me and my partners minds. Thank you again.

In future use vaginal spermicide (jelly, suppository, film) before the condom and you will increase effectiveness to the level of the pill. Tears and leaks are not as big a risk as lingering. Most condom "failures" are a result of not withdrawing soon enough and sperm swim around the open end.
