Female Masturbation Issues
So I have recently discovered that for a man, not masturbating can lead to prostate infections, and worse.
I'm curious as to what issues abstaining can have for women. The only things I can see are a decline in sex drive (obviously after a huge increase ) and possibly depression. Are there any medical opinions on this? A Google search did not return any results. |

Thanks. I've been trying to find information because I'm a little worried. I know my body feels better for days after I squirt, but I didn't consider it. So thanks for the information. There doesn't seem to be a lot on the internet.

Well since my sexual partner has a low interst I am going to have to consider the masturbation plan for the sake of prostate infections. My partner has rolled over from sleep a couple of times wondering what the pumping motion was to find me masturbating next to her while she was asleep, then turned back over back to sleep. Wow i though she would show interest

There is not much in the medical literature, either. I did call a colleague who would be more familiar with the specific literature. He said he knows of nothing that links lack of female orgasm to infection as can be shown in the male.
We went over the response I posted earlier. He found no difficulty with it but made clear that we simply have no research in the area. Regardless of medication benefit or not, I shall go on masturbating once a week or so.

so i have no experience at all...
i'm really young but in terms of sexual experience, most people my age aren't virgins that doesnt bother me tho because i plan to wait till marraige however... i've been experimenting with masturbating, and i just don't seem good at it clitoral stimulation is a different feeling, but i wouldnt say pleasurable, same with fingering... i can get really wet, and can even get 4 fingers in, but like i said i don't know if i'd call the feeling pleasurable... however, i was masturbating, i had 2 fingers i was pumping pretty fast i guess, and i realized i must have scratched myself because my fingers were bloody... i know there aren't that many pain receptors in there so i guess thats why i didnt feel anything but im worried... did i hurt myself? will it get infected? my vagina hurts, but i think thats mainly from stretching it with 4 fingers... im kinda worried, and don't know what to do... it would be awkward to talk to my mom about just because female masturbation was like a huge no-no in her time... is there any way to make sure it heals correctly if there is a cut and is there a way to avoid infection? also... after i masturbate my clit hurts really bad, like wearing jeans hurts, and my underwear rubbing on it hurts... is that normal? thanks so much |

Compared with male masturbation, female masturbation is considerably less common.
Benefits of Female Masturbation As you age, your body undergoes normal physical changes that may affect your sex life. The good news is that all these changes aren’t bad: Aging can have positive effects on sexuality. Some women, for instance, report feeling the freedom to enjoy sex more as they get older and don’t have birth control issues to contend with. Other women, however, experience emotional or physical changes that can make sex less enjoyable. |
